Thanks for the kind words. I hear ya, this one is more relatable with age, haha! I hadn't really dug into this song until I saw Ben play it live and it hit on all the levels. :) I wasn't sure if the instrumental was accurate, but was trying hard to listen to whatever notes I could pick out. There's something so reflective and peaceful about that section.
@@corywhite9944 There really is! One of those tunes that def keeps on giving the more time you spend with it, and especially when you play it for yourself! I love that Ben still pulls it out during his newer shows when least expected :)

Sweet! A lot like I started playing it. But listen closely. No flat 7 on that B, when TW plays it. No harm in making it your own though! I still haven't quite figured out the original arrangement.

@@corywhite9944 Well, every time I listen it seems I learn something new. As it turns out, he does play the dominant 7 chord sometimes! And in one live version I just heard, he plays it most of the time. I have to learn that when talking about TW, to avoid generalizations. I am getting closer to the original arrangment, but of course, only one or two versions of it, since he (like any decent musician) plays variations throughout. His piano reminds me of dozens of pianos I found to play when I was young. I think he's missing a few damper pads! There's another youtube where someone uses effects and (I think) synths to recreate the sound and it's remarkably good. I'll be playing this with a friend playing electric upright and singing (it was his suggestion and a great one.) I'll be starting out like Tom but in the middle I'll morph to my own natural style which is a lot like yours, especially during the bass solo where I can let the bottom end ring out. Sounds to me like you really nailed the ending, simple and sweet but with some nice touches.

Oh wow, I can't seem to find it either.. I always had to dig like crazy to find it because the band went by three or more different names haha.. I had downloaded an mp3 of it once upon a time and can't remember if it was from iTunes or some obscure music webpage.
