Hi Rich. Long, long time no see...I'm in a period of, well, let's call it re-examination upon approaching late middle age and enduring the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. And so, in a period of examining what has proven to be the shitastic to the divine and thinking of finally pulling the bits and pieces of writings etc into an organized narrative. We'll see. Been back in touch with Rudy "Baker" (we've worked on video projects together.) I am, in summary, a failed dancer, a failed fiction writer, and, as it turns out, a failed singer in a failed obscure band called WANDA MERCURY, which barely made it out of the garage, so, don't even ask...if you don't mind my putting it exactly THAT WAY. All of that said, and after juggling a full career in trade publishing, then PR, all while burning the candle at 15 ends ONLY to be bounced back out to the cow fields of my extreme youth (Hackettstown, NJ) a decade ago. [Insert deep breath here.] Well, It's been strange and sorry and, at times, joyous ride...and plenty absurd. Hope this finds you well. In closing, I'll explain...how emotionally blind I was BITD. Not maliciously so. Just, well, BLIND, as in "she didn't know what she didn't know." Oh well. When I asked Rudy about you and said, "yeah, he was outta my league but we had a few intense talks and I think, if I'm remembering correctly HE hipped me to the emerging Seattle scene beyond what I could read about in SPIN yada yada"...Rudy nodded. And so I said: WHAT was the name of his band again? And so I learned it for the very first time. I cracked up. Like, for 10 minutes.
