"For the perfect accomplishment of any art, you must get this feeling of the eternal present into your bones - for it is the secret of proper timing. No rush. No dawdle. Just the sense of flowing with the course of events in the same way that you dance to music, neither trying to outpace it nor lagging behind. Hurrying and delaying are alike ways of trying to resist the present."

Hoping this video doesn't also get blocked for "deceptive practices," apparently I tricked someone into thinking this was Jeff and they felt the need to report me

Adam, i refuse to watch any Jeff Buckley guitar tutorial if it doesn't come directly from you, friend. Make it happen and i shall be released!!!
Hahha this one is super simple though looping 4 basic bar chords the entire time while the intro is just the triads of those same chords. His only secret is the soul put into it !!! Can't teach that
Lovely, you really got the guitar parts with all JB's wonderful flourishes and tone down. And to sing and play all that ❤ Wish more people will discover Jeff and his music... and not just Hallelujah. His stuff from his cafe days is amazing.
Thanks, people do like to be spoonfed good art instead of seek it themselves but that's their loss not ours!
Been watching your new stuff and was wondering why you never covered this… my favourite song. Did you find a tab? I play this in key E as it suits my voice better but I can’t work out the licks in original key let alone mine. Will try and slow it down and watch what you’re doing. Was able to dial in a better tone thanks to your previous advice on amp settings. It’s surprisingly hard to find people playing and singing in this style to learn from.
@alexreynolds1826 I never covered it because it's not very popular haha, been trying to focus on more views for monetization purposes. But no I don't have time to study tabs so I just googled the chord chart and he played the triads of those same chords on the top 3 strings for the intro section
Lets fire up your channel 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great job, bud! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@@adamcorvinelli You've already written that under the video. But you can write whatever you want, even "Beethoven's 9th Symphony", but it still won't be what you say it is. I can't even guess that this is supposed to be "Creep". Maybe I could if you learned to play the guitar. Or even better: start with your "singing". It's even worse.
@@uschuster you're such a fucking weirdo man
Thank you man ,
Thank you
You sound great!
after the long guitar intro i was praying the singing would be as virtuoso. it surprisingly was. well done sir. we are not worthy.

@drieskeppens1569 It was recorded years ago but I believe I got the chords from ultimate-guitar.com and learned the intro by ear
Well done. Good luck Adam

@mikew2468 thanks Mike!
That was a really cool cover more like a tribute the way it was filmed just looks like it’s out of 90’s , no one can sound exactly like someone else but I thought the vocals were great and you nailed the way he plays the guitar in that - awesome stuff- like a time warp kinda video in a good way
Thanks! Yes the intention was most definitely a tribute to his live EP album
That wasn't a song. It was a journey. Well done, sir!

This is by far the best Buckley-style Strange Fruit cover I've ever heard. Excellent faithful performance + great fidelity (for youtube). I'm shocked that it's only garnered 2k views in 7 months.
@jvitzu thanks!! Perhaps there's not enough cleavage in my thumbnail pic haha the song is like 100 years old so I'm not surprised, I only learned this version because I really love it
This is incredible, Adam. Thank You for sharing this with us.

cmon bro i thought this was an old buckley recording. You are good but im sorry no Buckley. maybe just fucking go for it volcals wise... have a good one.
@karlkase What exactly are you apologizing for? I never claimed to be as good as him or surely I wouldn't be performing alone in my basement. I have however had 3 more years of vocal training since the time this quick tribute was recorded and agree it could be much better if rehearsed enough. No one forced you to suffer through this fake version but pro tip - when people add "Cover" to the end of a video title, there's a chance it just might be a cover 🤷♂️
@@adamcorvinelli I totally didn’t mean that to sound like an ass. Sorry about that . Really.
Wanna colab on something ?
amazing,.... trying to learn some sin-e songs myself and cant get the feel for it. The tone is pretty light but your hitting the strings hard it seems so the volume on the amp is fairly low?
@alexreynolds1826 thanks..The amp volume is usually just raised to the point where I can still hear myself singing without use of a monitor/headphones, and a compression plugin was applied which tamed the peaks whenever I strum hard. I'm sure I could mix a better version now after a few more years of experience but oh well

Have you ever checked out Tim Buckley, Jeff’s father. I listened to him way before Jeff as on the scene.
@@lucysteiner4556 of course, songs like Wayfaring Stranger really show their similar style
This was a Bob Dylan song folks. Jeff Buckley’s was a cover. Brilliant- but don’t forget it was a Dylan classic.
@lucysteiner4556 Dylan has been performing his song All Along the Watchtower using the same structure from Hendrix's cover and said, “Strange how when I sing it, I always feel it’s a tribute to Jimi in some kind of way.” I don't doubt he would say the same about Jeff's version
@@adamcorvinelli I have a Tim Buckley album Greetings from LA that I have had since the 70’s. It is clear to see where Jeff got his influence and talent from.
@@adamcorvinelli I have no doubt Dylan would be impressed with Jeff’s version. I was just surprised when I read the comments how many people seemed to believe it was Jeff’s song. Also I have been really surprised how many of the current generation have no idea about Dylan - hard to believe when he has had such a massive influence on modern music.
You are no less of a ARTIST if you can take someone else's song and make it your own, and make people think it was yours all along.
