really this is just AWESOME!! I'm using most of your addons to ableton and it makes my shows SO MUCH cooler without having to sell me knee for visuals or lighting.
For anyone confused, skip to 10.00 & audio is all good!
We had some technical/audio issues at the start of the stream, so we trimmed that part. Stream now starts with audio at 6:30!

So what I didn't realize at first is when you download Videosync 2, YOU GET THIS DEMO PROJECT!!! Here was me pausing this video to try and glean some of the techniques used... but you get the whole Ableton project. I'm going to have months of fun learning from what's been made here. Thank you Tarik and Showsync for your generosity in sharing these techniques.
Does it work with real time video streams too or just locally stored videos?
Yes, you can you the External In device to receive videos from external devices or Spout/Syphon sources.

@@t.quoise Fair point. That's the intention behind our creation of this software. In broad terms I'd say that TouchDesigner is more aimed at creating new tools, while Videosync is aimed at creating visuals with tools we provide, as one would create music with tools Ableton provides

can you uses in inside simpler in session view?
Videosync comes with a device called "Video Simpler", which mimics Ableton's Simpler in its behavior. You can use the Video Simpler in similar ways; on MIDI Tracks and inside Drum- and Instrument Racks.

It's awesome to see a package designed to manage DMX directly from Max. One quick question, when adding a new fixture in Patch Editor, is it possible to customize a new profile if the fixture is not listed in the given profile?
Yes. Beam fixture profiles are actually JSON files, so you can open them in any text editor. We are currently experimenting with an online fixture editor for end users, but we can't share links here, so feel free to check out (or join) our forum for more information on that.

I wish it would work with more interfaces. I dont know if its compatible with Enttec 's new version of DMXis, or any other brand. I know it doesnt work with my soundswitch. It doesnt make sense for me to invest into ARTnet, then buy beam for max/live just to use beam. I'd love to know if there's another way
SoundSwitch hardware is proprietary hardware designed to only run with its own software, so it is not likely we can add support for it in the future. At the time of writing this, Beam supports the following DMX USB interfaces: - Enttec DMXIS - Enttec DMX USB PRO - Enttec DMX USB PRO Mk2 - Enttec Open DMX USB - DMXking.com USB DMX devices Note: the Enttec Open DMX USB is an unbuffered interface, which means it relies on the computer's CPU to generate the DMX signal. This makes it prone to timing issues, resulting in occasional DMX signal dropouts that cause lights to flicker. Therefore, we discourage using this specific interface in high stake situations and recommend a buffered interface instead (any other USB DMX interface on the list above, or any Art-Net node). Generally we would always recommend using an Art-Net node for maximum reliability.
