There was an episode from July 1999 when Reva was in San Cristobal. She was explaining to Richard about driving her car off the bridge in the Florida Keys and telling him the next 3 years are a blank. Richard tells Reva about some fishermen finding her off the coast of Florida and they brought her back to San Cristobal to recover. Us viewers always wondered how Reva ended up in the Amish community of Goshen from San Cristobal.

Love ya, but allow me to fill you all in: In Sept. 1983, Friday Sept. 3, Renee DuMonde DiMera Banning Marshall DiMera throws a huge party revealing that her father left HER EVERYTHING. She swears her revenge and vows she's a survivor!!! But, then gets murdered. LOL! She was my favorite and years later, when I moved to LA - I booked her as a guest on Leeza (a talk show) and we shared a 25 year friendship until her untimely demise in 2021. Philece shot her scenes with the characters prior to her departure for these drop-in possible scenarios. BUT, her death threw a curveball - on purpose - as they did not want to reveal Stefano was returning - so no one even guessed it was Stefano as he would have never killed his beloved daughter. First, this story was called the BRADFORD CURSE, as Eugene thought he was at fault as Renee bumped into him after her town party tell-off, then his wife Trista fell victim, and his Aunt Leticia. Now, viewers even saw "Eugene" kill his Aunt Leticia with a knife in the back and a Raven feather in the hand - with poison from an exotic plant to insure death. (Renee's autopsy report revealed the poison as the knife was no where near her heart of major organs). The viewers think it's Eugene. THEN, we are to YOUR episodes here where the viewers see "ROMAN" knife Daisy, the hooker in front of Marlena and Sandy. It's daytime so they could not really show the knife going into her back but it's there and was in Trista's back and Leticia's and so on - and when "ROMAN" goes to kill Hope - there is a knife in his hand, but she escapes to tell the tale. So, now the viewers think it's ROMAN. FINALLY, "ROMAN" removes his mask and it's TONY!!!!???? WHAT?! Tony would NEVER have killed his love, Renee, so what gives- because that is Tony, or is it. FINALLY, again, LOL, it's revealed that Tony is Tony's cousin Andre who had surgery to look like Tony. And the man masterminding all of this is.... FINALLY, for real, LOL, STEFANO!!! He is the Phoenix!!! Philece did return in the spring to shoot her actual murder scene. She realized that Andre is not Tony and goes to get Roman, and Andre panics and stabs her to death. Dumb ass! Renee was my fave! NINE MONTHS LATER - in May Sweeps - it all comes to a dramatic conclusion as Stefano plunges to his death into the Salem River after Roman thwarts his plan to blow up the Salem Concert Hall. (ps SANDY, boring Sandy, could never replace Marlena - they wrote her boring ass off)

The Erica and Brooke feud is one of the most fascinating relationships on this show. The feud doesn’t get enough praise imo.

They definitely tacked on the detail of Cathy working for Abby, and like you guys, I think they shouldn’t have. The storyline worked fine without it.

Season 5 is the best season for Laura. She never really gets anything to do again after this except *spoileralert* in season 9.

I have heard hateful remarks about this new African American Soap Opera and yes I have been in many disagreements but it is about time. I am 70 and so happy that finally the need to showcase black actors, black writers, and black directors, just like Shonda Rhimes. I think this new soap will generate new soaps. My daughter loved "Passions".

The new soap is bringing in the NAACP to make sure people of color are being treated better than on the former soaps. I just found your channel and I just subscribed to it. Great message Tommy and Angel. They canceled many soaps to add cooking shows and they are gone now. How about Victoria Rowell, she has asked for a soap opera that shows African Americans. Tabyana Ali's name has been dropped, and Maya who played on B&B, two female actresses from Y&R. Tabyana's contract is up in Feb of 2025 and GH has not been showing her much since Nicholas Alexander Chavez is not coming back. They fired that Patrick guy, don't know why.

I am excited to see this new soap opera. Thanks for talking about this new daytime drama. I think she was approached to create this new soap opera. I have been telling everyone they will bring it and make the other soaps pick up their feet and do better in their writing. The Talk is canceled and the "Gates" will be their replacement and it will be on January 2025. I love Guiding Light, miss that soap.

The Faux Silver Kane storyline has to be in the top 5 best Erica stories. I never understood why she or even some offspring never came back to target Erica. I always love when Erica Kane has distant relatives around, there was a short time when they had Erica and Silver both swapping partners with Jack and Travis. That story had real potential, the actress who was playing Silver was weak that’s probably why it was dropped.
