Janis, I listened to the energy update again and it's remarkable how the reading encapsulates the mood of the month every time. You know my particular situation - I am battling and firefighting at present, but I'm not beaten. The Ten of Pentacles is absolutely the goal of everything here, but I know I am a perfectionist and that gets in my way. I have to learn that 80% is OK. Perfect should not be the enemy of good, I think they say. The Sun is a wonderful symbol for me in this dark time. My father was the life and soul of the party with his warm and vibrant personality. He loved life, he ate, drank, laughed, told jokes, had fun and lit up a room. He would have loved the Sun as a symbol of himself. How very apt.

Thank you for continuing to share with us such joyful moments and new experiences. I always enjoy the journey, the commentary, the scenery, the food and drink, the sights and your dulcet tones offering commentary, banter and insights. Geoff's gentle presence and quiet wit are also greatly appreciated, not forgetting the handsome canine!

Happy Anniversary both! It was nice to see you on terra firma for a few days, enjoying the beautiful Tuscan countryside and its rustic charms. It lifted my spirits anyway to see the beauty of Florence and its culture, architecture, the food, the fashion, arts and crafts and the two of you celebrating together. Geoff becomes so animated when there is music in the mix - you can tell it warms his heart. It's a joy to behold. What a shame about the weather at the start and the solar letting you down. You can't control Nature, I guess, but hopefully she will be kinder to you on the next leg of the journey.

Bad choice of music, especially from 0:29 until 4:40 and from 18:45 to 20:10. Southern Italian music, banally folkloristic and completely out of context. The pronunciation of "I Tigli" is wrong: "gl" sounds like the double l in Spanish. For the rest, fine!

Well you may have taken the long and winding road to get to Bella Italia but it was worth it. I see they let off the fireworks in your honour! Lake Como was truly stunning. Everything screamed class, style, elegance and beauty. Even the many and varied pastas in their jars looked gorgeous! And I enjoyed watching 101 ways with a courgette! I have to say it was amazing that Geoff managed to get a root canal done in Italy. I bet he'd have struggled to do so if he were back here! Happy travels and ciao for now!

That was an absolute treat. What a lot you packed into that video. Such a beautiful sunset/sunrise in Glencaple and wonderful scenery in Scotland generally. It really was a magical fairyland in Largs and Loch Leven. But the industrial heartland of Ironbridge and the gorgeous city of Edinburgh were equally magnificent in their own ways. You captured the essence of all those places with great skill. It was lovely to see Lisa (bravo to her for her wonderful edits which makes the story glide effortlessly from one piece to the next). Next time I go past Morrison's I'll think of you two!

September was a dire month for me, so I'm grateful that I can look to October with some degree of optimism. I've had to make new plans, reassess priorities and instigate changes due to stuff that has happened. It would be nice to feel that things will work out if I try to stay positive. Happy Anniversary to you both; hope you have a fabulous trip around Italy.

The netting under the trees is to stop the debris from the trees falling onto the pavements, terraces, people etc - it makes clean up easier and more comfortable for the people underneath.

Well, that was a very welcome distraction for me, Janis. I loved the pretty black walnut tree, the angelic voices in church, the quintessential English market town of Lewes with its lovely medieval buildings, the glimpse of that chubby squirrel and rather majestic crow, the beauty of Nature , even in the rain, and the interesting historical facts you provided along the way. I've been to Lewes and Ironbridge before so it was great to go down memory lane in those places again. Wishing you safe travels on the next leg of your adventure.

Lovely to see you back in the UK, showcasing it in all its glory too. Buxton looked classy and beautiful. I definitely think the red-head should get the red convertible! Can you give me some of those sweets that shut people up for a while? I love the fact that you asked the bells to ring in Warwick Tower and ta da, they did! Well done for negotiating those tricky stairs! I agree that £40 is an absolute disgrace to see our wonderful historic castles. What a shame it will put so many people off the experience. It was touching to see those graveyards and carvings in the walls, giving us a glimpse of past lives spent and lost. I also love the fact that the music played in the background is always so appropriate to the mood, and setting. Talking of music, I am so sorry for poor Geoff re: the cruise. That would have been a wonderful thing to do. I can imagine he is very disappointed. Look forward to the delights Twickenham has to offer.
