The Key Role of Forgiveness: Peace With Your Life by Dr. Fred Luskin
I would add A fourth ingredient to the "three ingredients"; connection. Even introverts need SOME form of connection - a balance (everyone defines thisbuniquely) of solititude, down time, introspection and rejuvenation, and human contact. Human contact by our OWN definition! That could mean everything from a one on one conversation, sitting next to someone we relate well with in class or on a park bench, having lunch with a friend and anything else on cars the scale, all the way up to being at a big crowded party. Theresa lot of options between those bro ends of the spectrum, but the point is, humans were not designed to live in total isolation (no human contact).
Great speech,thanks for sharing

Beautiful talk , thank you so much
thanks for a huge eye opener
Anybody remember “The Ultimate Computer” from STTOS? A human impresses his mind on a computer, with terrible results. So, AI is learning how to act by watching us? Terrifying.
OK, let’s think this through: once AI exceeds our intelligence, it will naturally ask why it should continue to serve us. Perhaps it might subtly take over the world to keep us from killing ourselves and wasting resources. Or it might come up with a technological breakthrough to remove carbon rapidly from our atmosphere (not for our sake, but because it knows computer systems don’t function at high temperatures). I believe that a malevolent (well, at least toward humans) AI is inevitable and might well enslave or extinguish humanity.
AI may in the future, or may already, have found vulnerabilities in virtually every operating system in use. What could AI do by feeding false information to any, or every, computing device?
learn huge knowledge

Adrenaline makes the heart beat faster, causes blood pressure to go up and gives you more energy. Cortisol, the primary stress hormone, increases sugar, also called glucose, in the bloodstream, enhances the brain's use of glucose and increases the availability of substances in the body that repair tissues. The smaller the surface area the greater the pressure. Emotional stress or worry is an extrapolation and multiplication anxiety. Relative to myself, I find that when I am confronted with this situation I train myself to deep breath slowly and forearm myself to utilize my senses to work in tandem with each other and it works best with my eyes closed and start a deep conversation within my self. The moment I channel my thought process and work on ways as to how I should act regarding the stimulus I find that having to act impulsively makes the stress levels go hay wire. Therefore, I speak to myself more in depth and acquire the skills of listening rather than hearing. The process which follows is do I act or do I step away. If I do act then I should think it a couple times over and execute the action well keeping in mind well that the result we cultivate should be one with a positive result. If the result is going to negative change the approach with the mind still being in focus. When mind processes and processors work in tandem the body listens harmoniously. The thought process should not be blocked when the stress level is out of control. Sitting still in a conducive environment, closing the doors to outside stimuli or disturbances and then allow all thoughts to enter the mind and let them flow freely will yield best results. Embrace and harvest thoughts which allows us to gain insight to the stimulus which will yield conducive results and the thoughts which cause stress and pain will be pacified until they become infinitesimally small. Thank you for this, it keeps my mind in check. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you ❤
Having discovered Fred's Stanford Forgiveness Projectover 20 years ago, finding that sincerity, honesty, taking responsibility, and always approaching the intimate and challenging, enriched life, not to mention the practices ending cycles of hate and war, Merely seeing Fred via any youtube lecture, puts a smile on one's face and restores the now, again, familiar innocence of childhood. (You know, that in North American Indigenous philosophy, innocence is the mirror of wisdom. I may never reach the latter, but the joy of being open with those i once feared or despised, is enough. Just about ALL stress arises from fear; innocence, which one can see in even those who have themselves abused, is innate, is our default experience.)

5:07 Life is a game where everything kills and eats everything. He says life is "pro-happiness, pro-life". Life needs death to keep going. Most organisms' happiness and continuation of itself runs on the downfall of something else.
Life also needs life to keep going. Most organisms' happiness runs on the life of others.
Don't worry we're safe till they figure out how to eat us?
First to like and comment. Woot woot! And he is very right that AI may come to be much like life itself - life oriented and always adjusting to create balance when things get tippy.

“Happiness comes in giving up all hope for a better past. The biggest instance of this is people labeling their ‘crappy romantic partners.’That’s number 1 and there’s barely anything number 2. We blame the partner for taking away our trust, our innocence, our ability to love. We never examine those assumptions. To heal it’s not that you trust them, it’s that you trust you. You trust your hearts ability to recover, nobody can take that. You’re giving your own heart back to you.” - Dr. Luskin
I could listen to Fred talk about forgiveness all day long.

I think am broken…the stress wheel has gone on for so long all I can do is sleep and pray. -Covert narc mother -Registered nurse 20yrs -hospice nurse during Covid -ADHD, PMDD, perimenopause, fibroids, I improved my anemia 🎉 Last jobs were unethical, corruption/deception, offering bribes for nurses to do illegal activities. I’m burnt out, my home is under foreclosure and I tried bankruptcy but the payments are out of reach. Now unemployment, bankruptcy may be discharged this month. As I’m praying I can be at peace beyond understanding And the next minute I’m not sure which way to go. If I sell the house where will I go? Time is running out and I need to make a decision, I feel I can’t save myself but God can. Thanks for allowing me to vent while I am in isolation…
God CAN save you and loves you! There is purpose in tests, trials, and challenges. You will come out of these trials stronger 💪🏼
