I will get a lot of flak for this comment, but here goes. It's because the baby is on its stomach. I would not sleep more than 30 minutes if at all, day or night. My poor mother was exhausted. One day, she let my 5year old brother rock me to sleep. When he got ready to put me down, Mom was busy, so he just laid me on the side of the bed and rolled me out of his arms. I slept, on my stomach for something like 12 hours. From then on, mom put me on my stomach every time she laid me down and never had a problem with me again (at least as far as sleeping went! Lol). Today the doctors and nurses drill it into mothers' heads that they MUST NOT lay the baby on it's stomach under any circumstances. As an adult, sleeping on my back results in horrendous nightmares. As long as you are careful about what loose covers etc. are around the baby, sometimes that might be your only option.

The lady made a nice hollowed out, soft cat nest for bub. I wonder if an open cardboard box with a blankie in it would do the trick as well, for restless babies.🫠

This littlebaby sleeping is adorable. Ont mean to spoil the moment, but when I had my babies, they were very emphatic about putting them on their backs for sleeping, “Back to Sleep was the name of the campaign.
