Recordings of Sky TV interactive services and other weird random TV stuff that I recorded at as young as 4 in some cases (yeah I've always had a weird interest) in case anyone else is interested and/or remembers any of this, because I'm sick of almost nobody on the internet acknowledging that the era of Sky Active that means the most to me ever even existed.
Recorded using an LG DRT389H DVB-T DVD Recorder (literally the most reliable and probably most used at this point piece of hardware I've ever had) to various recordable DVDs and transferred to mp4 using various ripping softwares.

yo do you have that one looping on demand video? all i remember is that it would loop someone's if you use on demand (i think). it was this sky animation
It was a great show, and this was a great theme tune. The musician in me loves the way the harmony to 'well' and 'swell' moves while the root note stays put. That grabs my ear every time. I wish the intro with its wonderfully showy dance routine was on TH-cam.
Unfortunately the intro gets automatically blocked for copyright which is probably why you can't find it anywhere. Uploading that was what I originally wanted to do after I'd recently got the DVD, before I ended up having to just post the song.
@@SkyActive That's disappointing, because Alan Cummings himself doesn't seem to have any problem with it - I was looking for info on the programme the other day, and found an old post on his website in which he talks very fondly about the show, and says 'some kind soul has uploaded the episodes to TH-cam." All gone now, of course. I do have the series on DVD, but I got a new TV a while ago and whilst my old telly had a DVD player built into it, this new one doesn't. I've got an old DVD player which might still work, but I haven't got around to working out where to plug it in!

basically freeview but you can upgrade and add sky and all that and it’s more like freesat and it’s iptv from what i heard
but you view is basicly some boring tv interface but onto linux like how skys epg is linux based

For those wondering, as seen at 0:33, that episode of Futurama that aired on Sky2 at 11:30am that day was The Series Has Landed. There were four episodes that aired on Sky2 that day, those other three being Love's Labours Lost in Space (at 12pm), A Fishful of Dollars (at 12:30pm) and A Big Piece of Garbage (at 1pm). Hope this helps!

Please can I ask, genuinely, not trying to be rude, what's the thought process of you guys who ask for very specific recordings? Do you think I actually will have what you're looking for or is it just kind of a shot in the dark might as well ask situation? Also, why that date specifically? I don't mind being asked about things it just makes me wonder is all.

Note: 2 minutes into this there was a shorter version of the British Army 'army of the future' ad but TH-cam is absolutely adamant that it's actually KSI vs Tommy Fury and keeps blocking the video, so I've cut it out and for completionism's sake I'll put this full video on the 'Videos Backup' Internet Archive post. The distinction between Videos Backup and Main Stuff has really been getting blurrier and blurrier as I've added more to them.
