Hang on a minute…in order to get tornado you need to go back to Besaid before the dark aeon blocks you in order to get the Jecht sphere there…in other words you need to go back as soon as you get the first jecht sphere…otherwise the guardo won’t let you back into guadosalam

Its no wonder why i couldnt beat sin all them years ago. I didnt play right at all. Didnt grind enough, didnt get the right equipment, spells, armor......NOTHING!! IM 40 HOURS IN and ive still missed too much i figure.

Ah, a fellow FFX enthusiast. I also recently replayed this game. I focusing everything on Yuna early since her aeons is just the "I win" button for many early storyline bosses. Always fills up aeons overdrive every before boss and I cheese out everything. Then, I just simply use Yojimbo once I get him midgame. Hillarious seeing him killing everything on the path to Zanarkand. Mars crest upgrade on Auron celestial is a must to do this. Unlocking Yojimbo Break Damage Limit. Lategame, I use Yojimbo to grind at omega dungeon for early end game stat preparation, while farm petrify grenade and get the Stonestrike capture weapons. Then capturing everything to start collecting the spheres for the sphere grid maxing... before even opening the Inside Sin Dungeon. That sphere boss still do nothing against reflect strat, and auto battle magus sister works wonder against earth eater. The rest luck are covered by bribing Maelspike, financed by my Kottos Customization entreprise. Then catch the last few fiends inside sin to make the guy start selling clear spheres. Then finally maxing the stat. Ultimately still Zanmato every dark aeons and Penance anyway.

What version do you have that has speed boost?

I like farming dark Yojimbo before Mt Gagazet. I got really lucky I got BDL weapon for Yuna as well as a rare drop Master sphere. Added magic booster and One Mp cost, she could immediately spam double cast Ultima in every battle which can easily sweep the entire game.

Not truing to tell you what to do, but if you made videos for Armored Core 6 with the voice of Walter doing guide videos im guessing your channel would blow up. Ffx is my fav tho

It's probably because most of my playthroughs were on the International (Patched, as you called it) version, but I never really noticed how close Wakka's SG start is from the -Ga and Flare spells. The game did get quite harder on the Thunder Plains, not TOO hard since grenades still kill most enemies and Wakka's Blind + Silence deal with the rest, and it was a very fair trade for how much stronger you get right after Spherimorph. Incredible.

I am currently following this guide as a fun way to replay FFX after many years and just got to the end of this video. Ended up missing the Lightningstrike weapon for Wakka (apparently it is in one of the Mi'ihen Highroads chocobo feather chests, I had forgotten where the other feathers were) but the overkill on Extractor still worked anyway, its threshold is only 600 damage. Very good guide!

Currently doing a playthrough on switch version to see how good this is. Just got to besaid since I was grinding grenades and overdrives. Side note, you don't need grenades to help with rikku when you get her back. Mixing 2 spheres will do frag grenade which will kill the enemy just fine. Also, why not give oaka 10001 til for the discounted items later?
