Doordarsh is a rip off a $10 order ends up costing over $50 with the added fees. I don't get it. They don't pay for gas, they barely pay the driver. Think about all the money these apps are making. It's all the same story Doordash, uber, instacart, you name it..the independent contractor is getting taking advantage of for basically slave wages.

If youre salary depends on customers generosity then its a tip.

It's crazy to me that they would make that change as a company. Because letting tips pass thru as tax free income would actually benefit the company. They wouldn't need to count that income and it would make their "job" much more lucrative for drivers and would generate more drivers

im in the same situation. they have never offered or told me about the crimson card to replace dasher direct. So i ll just be using my bank account after the 21st, but no more instant payouts, no more 2% cashback on gas. super lame. to cash out daily using your bank account, dd charges you 2 bucks for fast pay. so i really hope they figure out the crimson card in my area real quick.

No they changed it to door dash crimson, still get paid after every dash

The reason they’re not using DasherDirect anymore is because they open their own called Crimson, which will still pay you every day. If you look in the income tab on the bottom right, you’ll see crimson at the top where you can go ahead and apply for it. Open your account. Other than that if you use a debit card, you can have your daily income forwarded to your checking or savings account instantly.

Door dash has paid my son nothing yet. He has worked for them for one month, and they kept saying they would send him a card. Then they said they would direct deposit. So far he has not received one red cent!

I happen to know for a fact is Doordash I have a friend that does it and two times they have called red-handed where the customer shows what tips they left one customer order was $33.72. He rounded it out to $50 even and selected breast and tip, my buddy happened to the guy so he asked when he got there the guy shouting where that’s what he paid technically he was supposed to get paid $18.28 about order the $16.28 Tia plus the two dollar base pay that’s already added inhe only got $6.28

I love dashing 11:30pm to 4am. My dash average around $10 per order, with once in a while I’ll get one for about $4-5. I average $25/hr

Spot on. These idiot drivers are beyond help. I'm in a couple of DD FB groups and they're obsessed with staying platinum so it means they take the crappy orders to stay at that level and they have no clue how DD is using them. It's disgusting. DD is a despicable company. I refuse to compromise myself so keep giving me the shit offers and I'll keep declining. And you know what else? Like you just said about the pizza place, their food and everyone else's will sit w/o someone picking up the order bc of the horrible pay out but DD doesn't give a shit. The restaurant, customer and driver pay the price. Tony Xu is a POS. They need to remove him from DD. So being platinum might mean you'll get a high paying order but how many? It's a complete joke and DD knows it.

I haven’t been able to get away from %17 acceptance rate 😮😮 I decline a lot , cause it’s Garbage! I would Never EVER drive 5 miles for 2$ & when you do the math and that what the job is paying , I won’t Pay for these people to get , what is mostly Garbage, in order to not have to figure out a way to get what they want/need. I do the math on Every offer and if it’s not at least a 5$ just to start my engine , It’s not worth it. Now, I should mention , I do live in the country , burbs , but I am outside a pretty big “College town” Doordash knows this is the Dasher footing the bill for many of the McDonald’s jobs that are under 5$. I won’t do it. It’s on the customer. There is so much bureaucrat bs involved with everything at the moment. Americans need Good Leaders , We Need to reawaken OUR Own Industry. This DoorDash is a plug for pacify folks like me because they outsourced Everything to 3rd world countries, took 10 years and in many places we Are Now 3rd world country level living. No exaggeration .

I had the same realisation while driving for uber. I made average of 45 to 50 dollars an hour but took all the expenses as per the app. Fuel App percentage fee insurance tax Water Phone cables Maintenance Mints Etc et etc You make money but you make it for everyone else
