Thoroughly enjoyed these types of roads - just puttering along and absorbing the view. I know the south part of Ireland is a bit underrepresented in my videos, something I will be looking to correct in 2025...😊

Ah yes - great craic for sure, but the level of participation (and endurance) gets a bit less with age - but still enjoying these type of rallies - I rack them up while I still can 🙂

It's the first time I used my 360 cam this way - learned a few thing for next time, like "don't mount it on anything that vibrates with the stage" - I had to run the footage and audio through a stabiliser a few times and "weird artifacts can happen if you have spot lights hitting the cam" - literally spent a few hours trying to figure out where the white artifact came from" - all in all, quite happy at this first go 🙂

Nice bit of background info! There are quite a few other brands that had their upright shaft engine. Chase and NSUs perhaps the oldest of them, but even more contemporary like the Ducati 900 Supersport or the Kawasaki W800 - While the word Königswelle might bring a giggle, it could be worse and be called a morgenlatte. 😁

Well, "a lot" would be an overstatement 🙂. Of course it would be heavier than the piece of plastic that comes vanilla with the bike, but I didn't notice any effects to the bike that would be due to extra weight at the front. Having replaced the original exhausts with AEW 201's has been a massive reduction in overall weight - so I guess I am still lighter then the stock model😁

My personal experience is that the handling improved. I'm not a "sporty" rider per se, but I did find cornering more controlled and responsive. I think feeling much less pressure on my wrists has a lot to do with it. I'm about 6' and quite heavy build - with the new handle bars, the bike doesn't feel as "one size too small for me" if that makes sense
