I wonder Thrill Drive Series Was in Nintendo Switch

My only criticisms with this is that the characters don't have character to them. Maybe it's because I come from TXR but it'd be nice to have some of them stand out a bit for being different in a way. The other one that I don't hear anyone saying is that the buildings surrounding the highway are pretty much all the same. Again, TXR bias, but I'd like to see different places showing different vistas. A cityscape, long drawn out bridges, mountains, you call it

personally i think itd be nice if some of your opponents were just chill folk who enjoyed their hobby

Any chance this was a retooling of a driver's Ed training simulation? I know those were popular back in the 90s. We even had one that would simulate drunk driving and "how had it was" in our science museum as children

The oncoming races are there for challenge factor, it's not realistic as it's not aiming to be a sim. It's an arcade racer based on a bunch from the early 00's, fits the game perfectly. Same with the edgy atmosphere, it's fitting. Most people in this game aren't friends, nor seem to like each other, add money into the mix, and you have the perfect combination for constant trash talk. I'd rather take exagerated edge than some buddy buddy atmosphere where street racers act like they're going to kindergarten like the newer Need for Speeds.

Tips 1-Try more on cooling the engine first. Keep cooling above 100% 2-Upgrade brakes and handling, because you need to swerve in traffic. 3-Remove the unnecessary parts from the car. 4-Avoid using NOS. Use that as a last resort. 5-Milk Daisuke and Keisuke. Then go after Haturo and Akira. The boss race needs 10 Million. 6-PA is where the races are held 7-Use Bumper or Hood camera more often when driving fast in races. 8-When driving fast, avoid traffic by keeping a safe distance. Because if you hit them, you stop suddenly. There is no collision box or something, just stopped to 0. It is responsible for my 6 losses out of 40 races.

In the end, it requires 1) just a lot of mind-numbing grinding 2) asking for donations from other players [still have to grind, but less] 3) just P2W bro... "drugs all the way baby" as they'd say... or "I loot the Credit Shop" [UWC, so easy, blast through the game right?] I got donated around 370 credits from a generous player, have used it to purchase GM from Credit Store and another Ext. Mesh XT (bought myself 100 credits with DF Fiatmoney). With the event XP boost and GM XP boost, I got to grinding. As long as there are generous players willing to have a heart of such gold... For your first account, stick to rigidity. Follow build guide, ask other players for assistance (in forums, Q&A). Make fat stacks of Fiatmoney. Then, finance an alt account with it... grind begats grind... For me? I will stick with just one account for now. I still need hundreds of millions in Fiatmoney to get all the good weapons and implants, and Godcraft using credits (100 for weapons, hard pass on armor with its 200 required)... Either enough Fiatmoney or slam the credit card on the desk...

TXR indie vibes

Its pretty fun. Considering that this was originally done by 1 guy for about 6-7 years, he's done a good job of making the atmosphere and gameplay fun. By no means is it perfect as many people complained about the issues it had prior but other than that, for a demo it served its purpose of showcasing what Jem's planning to release and see what criticism are there towards the gameplay and how can he improve it moving forward.

I mean, a game coming from an indie dev, the prologue itself definitely served huge. Had fun playing it. Especially the music and sound effects. Oh man *emotion engine* won't let go.

I'm glad most of the criticisms here are nothing massive. Good show for a demo, could shape up to be one of my favourite racing games as of late for sure.

I mean.... it's ok at least it made some noise, many underground fans (me) and midnight club fans (also me) were waiting for something like this for a long time..... tho this time I'll wait a couple months after release, I've learned my lesson with Cyberpunk2077 (which now absolutely rocks ofc.... the 1.0 tho, not so much)

Talk about a blast from the past! Had no clue there were any entries after the inital game, really fun analysis of the series.

i used to play alot the df 1 game, everything is fine until you get to level 50, next to that everyting just collapse, the missions just does nothing more than a waste of time in late game, the game isnt just a free to play anymore, you get obligated in a kind of way for obtaining items without getting boring at it dangerous game if you have some money to spend, i do not recommend it if you are an impulsive gamer, in a more hater way(may be disrespectful) i think the game is a scam for what it offered , you get it if you have time spend in the game salute

This is an excellent case of deconstruction of the street racing genre so common in games because it shows the very real consequences of street racing in a busy environment of the city.

The thing I find most entertaining about the whole lore question is, the game makes a decent meta-case for the lore simply not mattering in the slightest. There is an old world, it's in ruins, and that's exactly as much as the modern content creators know or care to know; now go film something scary down there, and if you don't make it back the healthcare system will drag you back up anyway.

Since you mentioned you haven’t tried lethal company, I’ll explain why I think Lethal Company works better than this (which is already a pretty good game) Content Warning *demands* that everyone sticks together unless one of you is searching for a lost camera, which means you never get the dynamics that come from splitting up only to come across someone’s corpse deeper in the facility. This is because there is only one camera, and anything not captured on film is effectively wasted. This also means that if the camera is lost, the run is ruined. Secondly, since the *goal* of Content Warning is to find the monsters, it loses a lot of the surprise and scariness of finding a monster. You’re actively searching for the monsters, so finding one gives you a sense of relief rather than terror. Thirdly, monsters take way too long to kill you in Content Warning, making them much more of a nuisance than a threat. There’s also a lot more that are just bland, like the snail guys who very very slowly chase you and stunlock you while draining your health painfully slowly, and the ceiling grabbers which also kill very slowly but are also simultaneously a 1 hit kill. Also since there’s only one camera, the player with the camera both has to be the mvp, and survive (or at least die in a convenient spot). This gives way too much responsibility to one player, and if you don’t know what to film you can burn through the camera super quick and ruin the run, or miss the good bits. My most common phrase in that game is “Are you filming?” And unfortunately the answer is often no. When the team wipes in Lethal Company, there’s usually an outburst of laughter and cries of “Nooo!”, but with Content Warning, wiping is usually met with “Ugh”.

Haha, played this on PC. Really one of the worst games I ever played.

my first experience with outrun 2 was outrun online arcade for the ps3, one of, if not the rarest version of the game surprisingly enough when i first played it as a kid, i sucked big time, but at some point i came back to it after getting pretty good at racing games, and wow, something about the game just... hits right, from the visuals to the sound design to the ost, it all blends together and makes for one of my favorite games ever then i also realized that i have logitech g29 racing wheel, and damn, it really elevated the arcade experience, eventually ended up installing outrun 2006 fxt for my laptop last year, now i can play it at school too i suppose, just wish someone would make an unstretched hud patch for the game, otherwise completely satisfied

I played the crap out of this game on Xbox live, such a surprisingly good arcade racer.
