Thanks for watching. I like that idea alot. We've mainly been fairly casual players to date so deviation from the books won't impact us much. Have you watched the Andy Chambers interview on K47? I'm about halfway through and he mentioned having Rift units all going into a separate "Weird" platoon. This sounds like what you're doing so you're ahead of the curve there.

I like the back and forth of the current Konflikt 47 hand to hand. The previewed 3rd edition Bolt Action rules dont impress me a ton. If all we received for K47 2nd ed is a cleaned up and consolidated book(and new minis) that would be a win for me.

I like the zombies myself. I'm not sure if they'll go the direct alien route though given that Fantasy Flight Games Dust had that as a part. The Lovecraft stuff is in the same boat. That's just my guess though. Although you could go with an Illuminati type group playing the factions off one another to try and weaken them enough to take over.

The only thing I've recalled seeing was the game background was getting "darker". I assume this means the Axis and/or Soviets make some gains, but who knows. There are some areas that could use some streamlining/improvements. New vs Old horror rules, rules/abilities imbalance, and points spring to mind.

Glad too as always. Hopefully with Bolt Action 3rd edition coming we'll see something for K47 shortly thereafter.

@@therocketcitygamer im thinking K'47 will only ever be a jumping off point for players to do their own deviation from historical timeline... id like to see some new stuff though... instead of zombies and monsters, i want retro 1950s aliens, or nazi moon men, etc... maybe a new army faction, like ming the merciless type soldiers, or cylon style robot invaders... its how we house rules now.

I'm sure that will be a part. I think the size of that community will be based on how "live" the game is. If there are regular updates and supplements are released, then I can see a large portion of players sticking with that. Only time will tell how much support the game gets.

Yea, I was surprised by the lack of reports. That's actually why I started making them. I'll work to get a rig set up to test a 1k game. Hopefully sooner than later.

Yea something more than occasional mentions in the newsletter. The CEO mentioned some news coming out in an interview. Thanks. I've been enjoying The Old World so far. I'm glad I didn't try and play 8th edition before it came out as that would have made the transition even harder. It's similar to aspects of 7th & 8th to trip you up on some things. While I may not like everything with the lists and structure, I am glad they at least put something out for them. If they want to make any updates, it's just a FAQ/Errata at this point.

Very true. That's also why i think the Axis versions are better. Being Resilient allows them to take the hit if needed.

Thanks. I like both the Italian versions of the jump troops. Game wise I think the Axis ones are better though. One good thing with the Italian list is you can buy/build your stuff in a way where the core army doesn't need to change.

I get it. Some of it comes from not being familiar with video editing software. I've been dabbling and looking to add more video sections. The plan is to try and get both going, hopefully sooner than later.

@@therocketcitygamer Aye. The other themes are also interesting to use with other factions as well. Although, when it comes to Finns, I like more of the theme of them with the alternate rules I found in K47 related articles sections at Warlord Games sites. Especially Finnish rift tech about weather altering portable Rocket what can cause a blizzard onto battlefield, and falco Team with anti-Tank rifles

I've not seen too much of the alternate Bolt Action options for Finns. Given their current situation in game I see them more finding new uses for existing tech, not creating much. The rocket pack troops/teams with new equipment being a prime example. I'd also like to see them using captured equipment. Hopefully with it being in Warlords control fully we'll see new stuff.

@@therocketcitygamer Heh. True. The alternate rules gave an alternative ”history” where Finland did not get invaded by Stalin, but got ”radioactive mines” in 1944. The re-written agenda is interesting as well (basically: ”Let’s sabotage everyone to prolong the war until we get offered good conditions for the peace”), but I like the most in alternative rules the fact that there are the captured wargear (excluding rift tech versions). Gotta test those alternate rules properly.

@@therocketcitygamer I see. I am currently thinking myself introducing my oldman for the normal Bolt Action with the 20mm scale models and infantry he has piled up from his own childhood and expanded with me and my brother. Boy, how much we have of those infantry models in two suitcases…! 😂

I say go for it. I regularly play people using 40k minis. It's about having and good time and getting the games in if you aren't in a tournament.

I have! The first issue was promising, but a little shorter than I would have liked. I don't normally read comics so I'm not sure if that's the standard issue length. It is neat they are bringing in multiple stories and trial rules.
