I have to take a moment and say that I absolutely and wholeheartedly agree with Jason. Some of these gambling influencers on TH-cam need to take responsibility, they have a moral obligation to do so. Even if they don’t want to delve into it with their videos, at least run a disclaimer if they aren’t using their own damn money. I will share a story. My wife and I went to Ocean Casino in Atlantic City last year, we were introduced to huff and puff for the first time, prior to TH-cam influencers we never even heard of it. About $600 into it it wasn’t doing anything, so I made the silly remark of calling it a “sando” and the woman playing next to me started laughing out loud, and said “ you watch Vegas Matt too, right”. I laughed and said yeah. Little did I know, this woman was about $7000 into the machine already. After speaking to her, when all was said and done, she was down ten grand yet seemingly convinced she was going to win because of what she was seeing on TH-cam. She kept saying she didn’t know what she was going to do, she couldn’t afford that much, and she clearly got carried away. To me, that would be about 3 to 4 mortgage payments, and then leading to foreclosure. what a horrible position to be in, especially if you can’t afford it. She took full responsibility, as all of us know, nobody forces us to gamble. But if you’re going to influence people, at least have the decency of explaining you were not using your own money. or at the very least, deter people from gambling and encourage them to watch only. This is why my wife and I absolutely love Jason, he is very responsible with that, he repeats it over and over again. Now, I obviously can’t say for sure if those other channels use their own money or not, I have no idea. So I can’t blame them. But if they aren’t, my goodness, how the hell do they sleep at night knowing that they are influencing people who can’t afford to do the same but yet convince themselves that they will win because of what they are seeing on TH-cam. Just wanted to share that with everyone because I still think of that woman a year later. And thank you Jason, you, Robin, and Dita are awesome…. and we’re hoping you come to visit Ocean Casino in AC one weekend. ❤️
