I did actually order a Tascam and a stand for it and a tripod for my phone. Amazon cancelled the order and I never got around to ordering again.

@@UglyGuyLoFi It must be very difficult trying to cope with MS. There was a headline recently where there are improved treatments for MS or maybe it was Parkinson’s - I’m not sure. I hope further research will find curative treatments for you! Take care & Cheers!

@@unmappedinsights4787 Thank you very much for the kind words. It has its moments but its ups and downs. I can still work and live a good life so things could be worse. You are right, there are some pretty exciting new treatments out there. The only issue is how long they take to pass trail and be readily available to all. The only plus I get is that I can use my injection needles for ASMR purposes when I’m done with them haha

Thank you very much. I will definitely do more mic scratching. I’m very careful on the angles I show my hands and nails because I work in industry and they are always battered, cut and dirty. No matter how much I wash them they never look “clean” lol. I am doing great though, hope you’re doing ok too.

@@UglyGuyLoFi lol I’ve seen guys use long red painted nails for tapping. I think, Nope, I’m OUT! haha But one young tapper recently used normal length steel nails - producing great tapping sounds.

@@UglyGuyLoFi Thanks, I’ve found ASMR hard tapping takes the edge off headaches. I’ve recently seen other commenters saying the same thing. Well, I suppose you’ll be using the dog’s collar - to tap on in future! lol

Thank you very much. It’s great to hear you enjoy it. Those mental things are screwdrivers, I had bought some new tools and had to use them for that. I like the popping sound of the mic when it’s hit too hard, I know some people don’t.

⁠​⁠@@UglyGuyLoFi High praise, to you, because these sounds are sensational. I’ve always loved hard and fast tapping. There’s only a handful of really good tappers. Although the best tapping channel got banned. Your tapping triggers are more subtle / sensitive / rhythmic. Gives a different, and addictive, sound to the ears. Really relaxing! Thanks & Cheers!

@@unmappedinsights4787 I’ve always been a fan of tapping myself. The first ASMR video I ever watched was a tapping video from “Gentle Whispering ASMR”. She was tapping on a box of tea. That must have been maybe 7-8 years ago. Why did the tapping channels get banned?

@@UglyGuyLoFi I’ve seen many of Gentle Whispering’s videos - she’s great! The guy (Ghetto ASMR) that got banned by YT - was/is a creative genius at the craft. Someone else finds and reuploads some of his videos, now - although not the more creative videos. Long story short! Consistent troll attacks. Accusations of misdemeanours - who knows, though?! ASMR showdowns, and unfortunate meltdowns that took their toll. IMO, he couldn’t handle the fallout - became somewhat aggressive - and blurred the lines between private life-online life…for all to, unfortunately witness. He tried to make comebacks, many times, but the ban was permanent.

@@unmappedinsights4787 Holy shit, I did remember that guy. He did some really fast aggressive tapping stuff, mostly Lofi. I used to watch him. I’ve just done a quick search there and seen some of the videos of him addressing the situation. Seems like I’d did get very personal for him. He appeared to be in a bad place. That’s a real shame because his stuff was great.
