Channel Intro - EP01- The Start Of The Epic Australian Caravan Road-trip
I love that u guys get into all the cracks and crevices. The tapping of everything is amazing. I would do the same. Buyers that buy this kind of rig want to know how durable it is. Only recommendation is maybe a stabilizer for ur camera and some lighting. You two compliment each other well and crack me up. Keep up the good work.
They are narrower than normal hey. From China in a container size. f you re buying as a newbie to caravans you probably won't notice. If you are a long timer you wont buy one.
Like the look of it. Would have been nice to show the interior with the extended lounge actually closed. Otherwise, I like it
Just a tip those orange/amber lights down side on vans are not driving lights they're clearance lights 👍
Hey guys love the video and attention to detail. SUGGESTION: I would love to see a measurement of the kitchen bench height. My partner and I are quite tall so I would love to know if cooking will break our backs or not, cheers!!
Drop down table
Not real good when they go up in flames. That’s what you get when it’s made in CHYNA!!! I wouldn’t touch anything NOT built in Australia, these caravans are a DEATH TRAP.
God dam, why are these fools reviewing caravans, they know shite and carry on like children. What are y'all Aussies doing, that lack of knowledge and maturity wouldn't be tolerated here?
It is the best deal I have come across during my research. As stated some of the top brand names are asking more than double the cost! Only addition for me would be two fans!
Thanks for an honest and thorough look at this great caravan!
Glad you liked it!
Please find out what the names of items are before you try and fumble through a review. I only bothered to see a minutes worth of you pathetic review.
Be good if you actually knew what you were talking about. Was actually painful to watch
Well lads the wife and I found it far better than the usual point the camera in and tell us what we can already see, you delved into the areas that a lot of buyers dont necessarily look and for this I give you top marks! As for the whingers complaining about the guys presentation ( because they know everything ) I don’t see any content being created by them…..and if they know so much, why the need to watch theses reviews ?? Good video fellas 👍
Thanks 👍
Poor video imo, respectful feed back learn how to use the camera and learn the product specs first. Nice van
Be sure to check that the wheel bearings have been correctly tightened causing the bearing to overheat and fail, and that the end of the cotter pin does not interfere with the actual wheel bearing,
QUESTION. Why cant all of the external locks have a master/shared key?
Nah not yet , delivery in April as added a few things, fans, sway control, drop table & cushion, changed the outside lights amber & white . Tried contacting company but they can't update on the build
Just need one in the US now!
Chinese built vans?
Chassis, Walls and Cabinets made in China, The rest, such as electrical, gas fittings, done in Melbourne factory.
Your presenters are hopeless.
Thanks for the feedback, we know we are not experts & hope to improve overtime.
It's a gas oven is it not?, you don't need 240 volts to run it, if you are going to do a review know what you are talking about
The stove is gas & also electric. There is an electric plate & three gas. You can see this in our video at 15:55 - anyway, Thanks for watching & commenting.
Cheers fellas , enjoyed that walk around ya did that much that I went & looked at this model & ordered one from Newcastle
Haha... Nice! that's great to hear... Did you get the van yet?
Good vid guys. Looking for a new van and the Regent brand is looking good. A couple of points. It isn't an outdoor table. It is designed for an entertainment system i.e. TV, DVD etc. Hence the latches won't get in the way of a good bottle of Pinot Noir. Secondly, the two spaces with 3 pin plugs at the head of the bed are nowadays, almost always designed with CPAPs in mind.
Thanks for the feedback. much appreciated. However, I kind of disagree about that outside table though... its outside & its a table... so people are defiantly going to put bickies & dips on it... especially those folks who don't care to watch TV outdoors.
Made in China....junk
need to learn how to run a camera to show case what you are talking about. Being zoomed in all the time does not allow us as the consumer to see anything.
Thanks for the feedback, will try to get more wide angle shots. (please note, we have one of the widest angle lenses you can buy, we are not actually zooming in)
Pity you didn't do your homework first before filming. Poor presentation.
Thanks for the feedback, Can you tell us how to improve? Specifically what should we be saying or doing to make this presentation less "poor"
May be like i keep telling campertrailer manufaturers look up "1 Key caravans" they specialize in one key for all locks and they have over 300 combinations of keys compare to the 30 keys normaly used across van units. This is similar to MDC, Austrack, Ezytrak hybrid campers, i realy dont see anything special about this particular van than what is offered by the formentioned manufacturers... So where is the shower curtain rail? OH thats good pull the toilet cartrage out and dump all the shit over your self....what happened to the cap? Probing rod....realy, that the awrning manual winder.... You dont even know how to drop the stabalizer legs to show how to use the wind down brace bar.. 300 watt solar blanket type panels to charge 300 Ahr AGM most manufactures are using Lithium these days.. Those spaces in the ensuite have no value at all, nothing going to stay in them when van in motion. Bunk bed,... how is some one suppose to climb up that so called ladder? The frame work what do you call it....it has some textured paint on it...seriously guys do your research befor doing a review of someones product. All good and tidy under here, no obvious issues to report there.....of cause not its a brand spanking new campervan that you havent even used..... Silicone sealant....realy this is not what customers want to hear. You guys are realy stuffing this whole review up...this is not a good review for the manufacturer.........Its a laugh.
Thanks a lot for your feedback! We totally get where you're coming from and see how we can step up our game. Our channel's all about diving into the caravan world with fresh eyes, aiming to spark curiosity and share what we find, warts and all. Your sharp observations? Gold for us and our viewers. They're the kind of insights that push us to learn more and do better. We’re on this journey together, and your input is a big part of what will make our future content even more useful and on point. Cheers for pointing out where we can improve, and we hope you'll stick around to see how we evolve! Glad you got a laugh!
Expert, connecting caravan? Read the regs about only one D or bow shackle per chain ! Then driving out onto road without tow mirrors! Piss poor video
Could you compare this one with Newgen 21f. They looks quite similar and have $10k different. Thx
This SNOWY van has more solar, more batteries, some additional stone guards, bigger external LED light bar, some slightly different internal fixtures too, such as the wireless charging for phone next to the bed. Also the tool box at the front is a bit different too. After personally having the opportunity to test both vans, i'd say go the snowy. Reach out to us via our website if you need a custom quote: caravansalesonline.com.au/caravan/srt22f/
@@CaravanSalesOnline Thank you very much for your information. Yes, i Also compared These two. Snowy river is much more accessories than newgen. Inside it has water filter, outside it has protect screen in front of the tool box, and protection mud panels in front of batteries. And the brush in front of the bottom. Especially the length of Snowy river's bunks are 20cm longer than newgen. The only part newgen better than snowy is the oven in the kitchen.
Quite similar with snowy river srt22f. Could you compare These two? They have 10k different on price. Thank you
Great question! a comparo video would be a good idea.
A review like this is problematic when you both keep making statements as fact, “it’s really tough”, it will “withstand the rigours of the outdoors” etc without a clue whether that’s true or not. Obviously the key ring was stupid but you kept saying how organised they were, imagine spending minutes sorting through that lot every time you wanted something locked. With all the extravagant claims about how well it is finished off and the amazing attention to detail did you once comment on the quality of the welds on the draw bar? They are terrible, the welder team took no care and tried to tidy up the mess with an angle grinder later. This may not compromise the strength of the van but this is evidence of awful attention to detail. How did that boot get water in it? A little water was dismissed as being acceptable, it is not acceptable, a few days of drizzle or tropical rain and all the tools will rust, mould will grow on everything. To be honest I reckon that lid was left up when it rained, it’s hard to see how rain could have entered. No mention of the rear van tow hitch point between the recovery rings. This is a great addition and should have been mentioned. With dual cook tops it is disappointing to only have one fridge outside. We are out bush now and cooking inside and it’s cold. Every cup of tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner items means going out into the wet cold to open the hatch and slide the fridge out and repeat to put food away, what a pain. Perhaps they could have a way of accessing the single fridge from both out and within. Your rant about how fantastic the tyres were was disappointing as the Chinese are known for crap tyres and saying they’re great without having a clue based solely on aesthetics is a disservice to a competent review. Tyres are good because of the carcass and rubber composition not looks. It was not mentioned what size and whether they were LT or not. What is the composition of the wall panels? Typically Chinese vans are chip board, they swell and disintegrate when wet. If they’re a closed cell foam sandwich core then that would be great to know. How long is the warranty? What is covered in the warranty?
wow! awesome feedback, thanks for taking the time to write this. We are certainly still learning how to make a perfect caravan review video! At the moment our videos are more like "first impressions" & less like "detailed product reviews" that we aspire to create. We will definitely do more research and provide more factual information during review videos in the future. We also hope to be able to get test caravans for more than a few hours so we can do more real world testing/driving to see if the products we test are actually "durable" or not. Thanks again for watching & providing feedback.
do your research first, then you will know the difference from a A/c to dust suppression also a oven to grill
Yes, your correct! we could do more research, the truth is we are learning as we go. If you watch our first video on this channel you will understand that we are approaching this as novices, we don't know all the jargon & we don't have pre conceived ideas of how things must be or what things must do. Most of the vans we are looking at we have never heard of or seen before. We just want to show people what its like to look at something for the first time with fresh eyes! Obviously as we learn more this will be harder to achieve, however, we want our audience to come on that learning journey with us. Asking the stupid questions & not knowing the obvious stuff should not be frowned upon. P.S> Did you know in the USA they call a grill a broiler..
The keys 😂😢

As a cdn i can tell you there is NOTHING sold here that meets this design. This is so nice. Not sure i would spend $100,000.00 for a 21 foot pull along trailer but it is a nice design.
pardon my ignorance, what is a CDN? - caravan designer? this model is $92K check out the listing: caravansalesonline.com.au/listings/slacks-creek/new-2023-regent-cruiser-caravan-2-axles/

Hi Guys, how Old is the Design of this Caravan? 24:00 design mistake, change the cabinet doors opening direction and You will win better Access to slide out. Sorry but look every thing so cheap, so much mixed design ideas all over Old school with "try to be" modern design. Strange
I don't agree with you about the "spice rack" slide out at 24:00 - when standing at the kitchen bench, you want to be able to access that slide out easily, if the door was on the other side it would get in the way.
Old well known Australian brand, now made in China? Overpriced if they are.
I think the camera needs a gimble. I am getting sea sick.........
Yeah, we are certainly considering that. however we had a limited budget so figured we will just use the equipment we have available. Maybe Santa will bring team CSO some nice new camera gear :)
Glad this commentator is not previewing our product 😂😂😂
If there is some way we can improve our review videos we would be grateful if you could share the feedback with us.
I know I'm not the original poster, but I do have a couple of suggestions. Either explain the specs of the caravan (eg. what type of water heater is it - diesel, electric or gas?) or post all the specs up at the start of the video so people can tell at a glance if it has what they are looking for. Learn your product - "some type of textured coating" in regards to the chassis and drawbar doesn't really cut it. Is it powder-coated, ceramic coated or something else? And not knowing if what you're pointing to is a reflector or an LED. Your target range age is from mid-twenties to probably early 70s - not everything is "cool". Focus on the major selling points, not the silly little extras (where reflectors are).
😩 "promo sm"
When they do something about the arm you ran your head into, like replacing it, I'm not interested.
Are you aware of an awning that is 100% cantilevered from the caravan wall & doesn't need any supporting structure when extended? From memory I think fiamma awnings are designed that way, howver, fiamma recommend that you use corner posts for strength & stability when awning is extended (personally, i think that should be done with any awning brand to prevent it being damaged in wind gusts). Please rest assured, the awning on the Regent caravans can be changed to a brand of your own preference. Alternatively, You can "downgrade" choose the non-electric awning , save some cash & get a slightly different supporting structure.... But still the key here is look where your walking!
