Not only that it keeps turning my mic on and off. And sometimes it just turns it all off. At this point i thik i just buyed crap. Not only that i Don’t know what is going on with it ventilation it makes sounds that it shouldn't do. I get crazy of this keyboard as well. It does exact the same and I can't even turns my laptop on when it starts doing this. I have to turn the whole laptop off to be able to use the laptop again. Qho the hell though this was a good idea!?

as soon as i replaced msi motherboard with asus prime this happens on my desktop computer. At least computer works now but this light is annoying

You're a LIFE SAVER. I bought this for my husband, then he upgraded and gave this to me since it's better than the one I had for photography editing. The keyboard would do this while it's on and I'm working and it drives me NUTS. I was just trying to type an email and the constant flickering was giving me a headache!!! TRUE HERO

I have an Asus TUF and I agree with your comment about a 12 year old. How could Asus think a rational person would want all the settings to light the keyboard. I also hate that the AWSD keys are totally light and not just the lettering. I almost returned it except for the hassle of returning it after I made so many changes and imported my data. I would not buy another one.

Go to the FN key and then go to F2 key and it will turn them off after 1 to 2 clicks.

This is such an annoying cr*p, I fully agree! I had the keyboard pulsating when on standby and no light at all when I was using it. Initially the backlight was on and it suddenly disappeared and I googled now for hours trying all kind of bs to fix it. One recommendation was to do a factory reset of the laptop....insane! I am glad I did not go down that route! So for everyone who looks for a solution to this: A guy in the chat below found the solution and I repeat it here that people can more easily find it. Start the application "Armoury Crate": click on > Device (Gerät) > Computer/laptop name (e.g. ROG Flow X16) > Tab "Lighting" (Reiter "Beleuchtung") > Settings ("Einstellungen") > Turn off "Sleep" option ("Ruhezustand"). Here you can also turn on the backlight of the keyboard if it wasn't working anymore (see "active" section right above the "sleep" setting). Furthermore, the "base effects" (Grundeffekte) under the "lighting" tab defines the effect of the backlight of the keyboard. This stupid "pulse" can be swapped here to "static" or "changing colour" etc. The best is that ASUS does not provide that information when you look this issue up on their support pages. Maybe they should simply not put such weird standard settings which make people go nuts.

I have a similar problem - after I updated Armory Crate, now the keyboard keeps blinking rapidly/strobbing red when booting, which used to not be the case. I went in Armory Crate and under Aura Sync > Strix > settings disabled the boot up/shut down option, did not help unfortunately. Is there a way to make sure the keyboard does not blink when the laptop is turning on?

It work on my computer I had several choices, one with pulsing and set it to static, first update Armory Create

FN and Aura at the same time. It switches the flashing modes. I just finally got it. Aura is also the F4 button. It switches from static (no flashing) to strobe or breathing effects.

I had the same problem, always had to shut down the laptop because the laptop could sleep, but I could not! Guess what? I unticked the setting a while back, but now it is flashing again. And, the setting is still unticked! ASUS TUF A15 (2022)

i have a somewhat similar issue that i think is caused by armoury crate: whenever i login to windows the keyboard lights automatically shut down and i have to open armoury crate and go to the keyboard lighting section and press static while it is already in static in order to turn on the keyboard lights. very sus

The expert will not come on after you RE- place the batt with new because there is a little secret that costs you 70 to 100 for them to do email me and I will tell you for free how to start batt and watch again its simple but sneaky of them

mine just straight up turns off. and i have to do it again and again. everytime I turn off the damn thing it happens. so annoying.

My USB powered RGB keyboard does similar, except mine does a single flash every second while the desktop PC is asleep

go to Armory Crate -> Device -> Computer Name -> Lighting -> “Settings” button and turn off “Sleep” option. It worked for me.
