I read that the primary reason is due to the animation level fans are expecting while anime studios are trying to animate new anime. It becomes difficult to pump out seasons and costly. I'd rather a studio focus on a few series rather than multiple at the same time.

I'm hoping the next season is a proper 24 episode season which is what they should have done either this season to begin with.

I'm back haha the whole family got and still is sick so we've had to relax.

So many are bashing it because of episode 1. They are missing out on a gem.

Bling Bang Bang Born was huge at the beginning of the year, but it doesn't give the same vibe as this one.

Thanks for the comment, and I hear and understand where you are coming from. I love getting everyone's opinion even if I don't agree or have a different perspective, so I appreciate it! With that said, I don't agree with your definition of controversial. People disagreeing about something can mean a few or a handful when the definition refers to the public (majority) or, in this case, the anime community. I point out that the main reasons I have seen reference the kids being in high school and the fan service surrounding that as well as the SA scene. I believe a handful of people are calling it controversial and being loud about it, causing individuals to not watch the anime when they should try it. Can you explain to me how it is a weak argument when the anime community accepts other anime that do the same exact things or have the same situations, but no one cares about those because they like those anime and because they don't like this one it isn't acceptable? I mean, in law, we literally use examples from other similar situations and those outcomes to create a consensus on what is right and acceptable. I also get what you are saying about XYZ, but I don't agree with it being "petulant." Personally, I use that when I am referring to "whatever the situation may be that is similar to this specific topic." I can do better to give different examples rather than saying XYZ.

 It’s not MY definition of “controversial” it’s the literal dictionary definition - giving rise or likely to give rise to public disagreement. However, I admit that I didn’t realize some people use the word to mean “bad” or “problematic”. Also, I apologize because I think I misunderstood and misrepresented what the point of your video was in my last comment. But if I understand correctly now, what you are saying is: People should stop saying, “Dandadan is bad or problematic”, because they are making other people not watch it. But isn’t Dandadan one of the most watched anime since it came out? Maybe I’m looking at the wrong lists, but it seems like people are watching the shit out of it and rating it highly as well. Lastly, you missed my point regarding “People need to stop saying…XYZ”. But that’s just a style and tone thing. You do you.

@@middleclassjoe I kinda agree with both of your points. I do agree with you that the person making the video could have done more to present his case. Plus people are rightful to call out things they don't agree with Otherwise he is right about naming other shows, those aren't weak points. But I do feel he undersold that point and could have added more on it. He is basically calling out hypocrisy and there is plenty of it because a lot of people, content creators that have called out Dandadan set double standards because they either watch, stan or make cover content on TH-cam that supports shows with similar "problems" as Dandadan.

It's definitely over the top. Anything that has a lot of hype will have people looking for reasons to bash it. If it's good, it's good.

@DSHRideAlong yo a lot of cartoons were like that especially those from Cartoon Network's golden era. They had sprinkled adult jokes in them and provocative jokes but I found those silly when I was a kid.

I HIGHLY recommend MHA lol one of my favorite motivational animes. The first couple of seasons are okay, but S3 onward are great!
