Most of us are looking at the world from the interstate at 75 mph. We can't really take it all in until we pull over and look at it from above. Maybe you need a change of perspective?

Teachable Moment #14 "Quit Putting It Off"

For 15 years I've planned to fix up this tower blind. This year I'm missing a few days of the hunt to get it done. Make time to do what you've been putting off. It'll be worth it in the end.

I'm glad I found your channel. I plan to give vacuum seal fermentation a try. Thank you.
Just keep an eye on the seal
That’s why your neck is missing now. Look like you drink gravy out of shot glasses.
Barkeeper’s friend is also pretty good
I bet you're right

Thank you...I wish you had listed the recipe in the description.
If I ever do anymore of these videos I'll do that
The sped up eating as if viewers didn't believe he actually finished the food.
There was never any doubt
We did the same thing when I was growing up. It’s relaxing and it makes you a better shot. You’re basically aiming at a thumb sticking out of the water.
That's a great way to put it.
America does not have a holiday called Cinco de Mayo that's a Mexican holiday
You are correct!
It is a SA-22, Semi-Automatic.
You are correct!
Not meaning to be a D. Just saying, Great video!!
57 years using a pad and never a stuck case. I must be doing something wrong.
Sometimes the old ways are the best ways. This is one of those ways.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you for watching!

Thank you for your video, that does look delicious. I think I am going to use sharp cheddar on the top.
I like sharp cheddar too!
Lol mustard farts there it's said past that damn bro looks awesome

I find that bullets of 165 grains and 180 grains make better use of the .30-06 cartridge case and it's capacity. On the other hand, there is no reason under the sun to not use reduced power 150 grain loads in .30-06 when the game is small deer under 200 lbs at ranges of 200 or yards and less. Usually a lot less. Loads duplicating the old .300 Savage or maybe the .308 Winchester are easy from a .30-06 rifle, and both .300 Savage and .308 are deer killing machines in their own right.
I've always shot flat and fast so lighter bullets (150s) were my choice. But I also have flat county and I have taken several deer and coyotes in the 300-400 yard range. The flatter trajectory makes yardage less of a factor. In the woods however, none of that is necessary.
Powders like IMR 3031 that max out at around 50.0 grains are darned economical. Personally I prefer IMR 4064 in .30-06 with reduced load 150s. 48.0 grain charges equal about 7 boxes of ammo per pound of powder. I personally have found that for a deer load in .30-06, a 150 grain bullet that just about equals military ball of 2700 FPS is plenty of sauce for average deer at average ranges. Slow it down and waste less meat 🍖. Full throttle .30-06 with 150s is just a mess that you don't need.
I feel the same way
Trump said don’t eat ppl’s pet. Eat ground hog instead
LOL hard times!
Shouldn’t you include the weight of the peppers when calculating the percentage of salt?
Yes, 2-5% of the pepper weight in salt
@@preachersdayoff oh. It seemed like you used 3% of the water weight. I’ve heard of using peppers, or peppers and water, but not just water. I’m guessing here, as this is the first time for me. I used a salted mash in a vacuum sealed bag. I’m going to process it, then add some garlic, and continue fermenting in a jar for another 2-3 weeks. And I’m just trying to get the most common, and logical, advice. Thanks.
Well the flag bearer is at the right race thats for sure.
Greatest show on dirt
Now that was funny. I'm hoping they come out with four-mule chariot racing.
Always exciting
Stop using those cheap bags and do a double seal i can tell by the bag those are from Food Saver those are rubbish buy a heavier mill bag or roll.
I now have a chamber vac sealer and commercial bags. But most people don't and that's why I showed the literal results with this method.
That absolutely is a tendon. Connective tissue will break down over the time you cooked it for, but the process needs a bit more liquid. It's actually pretty good for you. If the woodchuck is very fatty (end of summer) trim the surface fat before cooking (not after). Next time, roll the pieces in flour and spices, fry them gently in the pan till they just have a bit of color, then cover with water (or stock, optional), and bring it to the boil on the stove. Place the dutch oven covered in the oven on a low heat (120C, 250F or just under) and leave it alone for three to four hours. After this time, if there is still too much liquid in the pan (and there should be) take the lid off and leave it for another half an hour, rolling the meat over to stop it drying out if necessary. The way it dried out make me think you had the oven way too hot. Slow cooking is done at very low temperatures, and it won't boil the liquid off (hardly at all). If it smelt a bit funky you might have left some gland in the meat. They have several types, not just anal glands. There's also glands on the face which can get messed up with a head shot, and there's also glands down the back, several of them. While I don't think you included any glands in the pot, it's easy to mess up if you don't realise. The best time to deal with them is before you quarter them, while you are trimming the fat. Look for little lumps towards the lower back.
I hope I never get hungry enough to need this information.
Being from GA I love smoking with Pecan wood. It’s also my favorite for camp fires too. It burns an amazing smell! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I had a giant wild pecan blow down in this same spot a couple weeks ago. I'm stocked on pecan for the next few years.
Nice video
Thanks
Good deal! Head on out!
Bring your wallet!
I have one of these and my son has a Heritage Rough Rider. Both fun guns for sure.

If you dip the squirrel in a bucket of water, the hair will lay down and won't fluff off.
I've seen people do that I just get busy and forget to do it. Thanks for the tip.
Welcome to United States 🇺🇸 the country of the paying taxes to government people who living like kings on their huge million dollars houses , Italian super cars and the most beautiful wife’s and the most expensive private schools for their kids . Now , what they do with the thousands of billions of dollars they collected from employ people? They do nothing for low class and middle class people in Oklahoma not even for residents so the question here is , why residents are paying taxes if this taxes “not enough “ to pay state police , state park rangers , state park officials, state park employees or workers ???? Is “not enough “ that’s why they have to charge you more and more and more for what??? SOMETHING IS NOT FITTING HERE!!!!!! SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT!!!!!! We are not complaining about to pay something we have the money money is not the problem the problem is this Oklahoma government is super greedy!!!!! And money hungry people on the power
BINGO!!!
Thank you to explain the reality of the beavers state park , it’s sad how come this wonderful state park becoming a private property for tourists this is not what United States is about I understand they have to spend money to maintain security and protect the wildlife is not free or cheap . But they need better rules this $10 dollars parking is ridiculous. Tourism will will decrease this way . They scaring people
It is a mismanagement of tax revenue that leads to daily fees like this
Now under Biden I'm watching this because I can't afford beef/pork/chicken. Might as well catch the free meat that walks on my property.

Sounds delicious!
How many pounds of meat did you use for the 40 guest
I don't remember how many pounds. Just plan of 2-3 enchiladas per person. With sauce, cheese, and meat filling each one, you could add beans to that mixture as well to fill them out. I would guess a lb of ground would feed 6 depending on what you add to the filling.
Just once I’d like to go through one day without someone injecting politics in to everything. My god…
I wish I could go one day without someone injecting God's name improperly. That's just part of living in a free society. You will hear the opinions of others and hear God's name taken in vain.
It's August and I finally took the shoulder I been saving out of the freezer and put it on the smoker. I did it as you said except just some salt and pepper before smoking. When it came out of the smoker, I thought sure it was ruined, looked all dried up. Went ahead and wrapped and in the oven. Added some apple juice in the wrap. To cut to the end, I'll never grind a shoulder again. This is wonderful. Oh sure, there were a few bits on the outside that were kind of chewy, the rest is easy eating and sooo good. This will convert anyone who says he doesn't like venison
Apple juice really helps. Glad you liked it.
I have eaten many squirrel heads. When the plate came around thats about all was left. We had a big family. Eating the heads makes you smarter than the squirrel. That's what I was told to get me to eat them.
LOL I've heard that too
Trump
He's the best choice!
