Antec NX500M case review and gaming PC Build
With the 2 extra intakes at the front its basically a more budget and smaller version of the view 270.
Yeah its the MATX version of the 270
Hi! How’s the front mesh? Does it have small holes which can block some dust? Thanks
Yes it does
the case looks really interesting, not the usual box shaped, fish tank case...
Yeah they were kind of popular for a second there but kind of dropped off.
Hi case looks awesome, I wanted to ask if this can fit ASUS TUF 7900gre with MSI B650M gaming plus wifi micro atx mobo?
Hrm.. If that card is 2.5 slot it may have clearance issues with the bottom fans.
@@localtechexperts thanks for the response, yea I figured. Ended up finding an affordable case with good clearance tho! Thanks again, subscribed for the informative responses :)
Are the fans and the fans argb daisy chain able
Yes
I was looking at this case online is the airflow on it good?
These fishtank cases are not actually that great for airflow. Mesh sided ones are better.
Nice overview mate. Do you know if the top dust filter is removable? Cheers
Hrm.. Cant recall sorry.
Hi Jason, bummer you had to clean it but bonus that it was working
Yeah I tend to get some really disgusting ones.
Would this really fit the phantom spirit 120se cooler? Some cases lie and I want to know if it actually would fit a 155mm cooler
Dont have this one to measure anymore.. If the specs say it will fit a 155mm cooler then I have to reason to think otherwise.
does an asus p7p55d-e motherboard and gtx 1660 super would fit in this?
That looks like an ATX motherboard.. These cases only fit MATX motherboards. So you would have to find a different motherboard... The GTX1660 is fine though. I have done a bunch of builds into this case with that GPU.
@@localtechexperts oh ok thanks, Also Im planning on upgrading my 15 yr old cpu i5 760 to the upcoming core ultra 7, do you think an asus strix z890 would be the good choice?
Couldn't say for sure until release.. Particularly the cost to performance ratio.. Also Asus have been getting dragged through the mud recently for poor customer service in relation to warranty returns.
Nice showcase, thank you :) Considering this case for my first build in quite some time, but one thing is bugging me: from the time lapse it looks like the PSU power switch is not accessible in a finished build? That would be KO for me, as I semi frequently travel with my PCs. I like the handle so much tho 😭
Yeah jonsbo tend to hide them up front. Just leave the psu turned on.. Not sure how that would effect with traveling?
planning to build my daughter one using b660m asus with i5 12 600,fan cooling ok?
This case is for ITX motherboards not MATX. Also it's kind of centered around aio cooling for the cpu.. If a 120mm AIO is within budget would certainly go with one of those.
@@localtechexperts mini mother board?
Yes this case only fits ITX motherboards.. Not MATX or ATX.
@@localtechexperts thanks I change it in my list
I think you put 2 reverse fans and 1 fan in the top not 3 exhaust.I am building in 1 of these in black next week.would you recommend custom fan mesh filters on the undercarriage?
Yeah I noticed that post filming unfortunately. Dont think mesh in the bottom would actually help that much because the ventilation on the sides.
My guy...your dog barking just scared the ever living piss outta me LOL
Whoops sorry.. I promise they are friendly ;)
So i bought the same case i guess i didnt understood the video so the pc turns on but the fans arent spinning so i power it on and everything goes on just the fans arent spinning can someone help me?
Like the case fans? Are they all plugged into the fan headers?
@@localtechexpertsyes they are all pluged in
Not just the ARGB but the actual PWM cables too? they have two cables per fan. It would be weird for all the fans to be dead at once.. It includes a splitter so maybe bypass that for testing each fan.
This is awesome well done! You explained it really well.
You are very kind. Thankyou
good joob this is the only extended review out there, well appreciated!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi so sorry but is it ok to fit the rtx 4070 ti super in it? If not can i just remove the bottom fans?
The bottom fans can be removed.. Just may have to also check the length because this is my no means a long case either
@@localtechexperts Thank you for your response. i am using the same mainboard msi b650m gaming wifi, and the rtx is around 59mm heigh and 307 mm length. do you think it can fit in well?
The specs say 330mm for length of GPU so should be ok.
Can you use a atx mainbord in that case ?
No you want the View 270 for ATX size.
Nice 🙂👍
Thanks for the visit
bro needs more subs fr
I couldn't agree more :P
The motherboard I’m getting only has 2 argb connectors, was that splitter they included an argb splitter?
They dont include a splitter but the fans are daisy chainable together so you wont need one.
@@localtechexperts ah ok thanks
Heya mate, any other corners cut that affect function? I see there's no dust filters but the way they're usually implemented on budget cases isn't as easy as just having this fine mesh.
No not really.. Its a solid little budget case despite the price
How you have fans set up as exhaust and intake?
Fans in the bottom as intakes.
I have the same story I had a pc and told them the GPU had failed i tested and told them it had failed. theygave it back to me said it was fine I plugged it back in and failed it. returned it back to them to be returned its fine, within 5 minutes I got home it failed again. i told them did you try DHMI oh no we didn't... lol The GPU was failing on HDMI and it took 3 attempts for them to even look at it and I told them when I dropped it off in the first place.
Yeah really would think there are processes and checklists for testing. Not sure whats going either stressed staff trying to close tickets or what.
is the airflow good enough being only from under?
Yeah the fans are actually molex run full on all the time and the volume of the case is quite small already.
Many thanks for showing how to build in the case. 🤩
My pleasure 😊
Is it possible to fit 160mm atx power supply in there?
Think you should be able to stuff one of those in there..
Yk I skipped ten second 6 times and every time I heard an „um“. Already on my way out of here.👋
Umm yeah I'm working on it
Is it possible to wire the ARGB cables to the case button?
The case buttons are all one connector so not really on this one.
@@localtechexperts So if I have just one 3 pin ARGB header on my motherboard, I don't need a controller?
Yes but either the fans will need to be able to be daisy chained or have a splitter cable.
Help! When I press the button to change the color of the fans, my PC restarts but doesn’t change the color. What can I do?
The reset button cable can plug into the RGB controller instead of the motherboard to make it change the colours I believe.
I used a Corsair case (3500XARGB ATX) which is very similar to your case here but I didn't have to sacrifice any fan real-estate the only thing that makes mine different is the front panel buttons are on the top of the case . That case is still very nice though and is $30.00 cheaper than my case in my area I also noticed that some motherboards ATX included would fit better in this case so you wouldn't have to leave out any fans.
Yes thats correct.. I mention that in the video.
번역이 되서 볼수 있게되서 고마웠어요!
시청해주셔서 감사합니다
Hey, I'm planning on buying this case and was wondering are the fans PWM (4pin) or DC(3pin) Powered? Thanks!
Hrm.. I believe they were DC from memory.
@@localtechexperts Okay thanks!
I’m curious how you mounted the fans on the bottom. The screw holes are not large enough for self tapping fan screws
There are longer screws for mounting like that.. They are the same ones used for radiators and run the full width of the fans from top to bottom.
Hey I got the same pc box but apprently my cousin said I couldn’t put the rgb fan on like the fan works but the light doesn’t work can u please help me out
Did you connect up the ARGB cables of the fans to an ARGB controller?
@@localtechexpertsapprently he told me my mother board has no where for the rgb lights to connect to what should I do?
You may have to find your self a 3pin argb controller. www.amazon.com/argb-controller/s?k=argb+controller
English may not be everyone's first language so maybe keep that in mind?
You will need an 3pin argb controller.. you can search them on amazon.. Quite a few around.. Would maybe suggest one with either button controls or one that you can plug the reset cable into.
Did I see correctly that the front panel connectors were the all in one cable rather than individual connectors? If so then I think it looks like a good case for the money
Yeah they are.. Kind of a boon and a disadvantage. My argb controllers use the reset cable to change the colours but cant seperate them for that use.
@@localtechexperts I guess it comes down to a use case scenario
Yeah most newer motherboards will have onboard ARGB headers.
got this case how do I change the fan speed, I set the fan speed in bios but it don't change
Did you plug the fan controller pwm connector into the motherboard?
@@localtechexperts yes it still doesn't work 😢😢
@@randomunblocks i am experiencing the same issue
@@coltonburchett318 Have you found a way to fix it, maybe I should return it than buy a new one??? Or buy a new cable?
@@coltonburchett318 just ask them for a new one, it worked
Does it have Led button?
Cant remember off the top of my head but I think yes..
You could have rotated the portrait video and zoomed in editing 😊
Certainly could have.. If I was that cleaver.. Editing is not my strong suit.
I just bought it. Do you think the handle is less secure, like it's bent?
Handle on my two seemed pretty sturdy. Just have to make sure to attach it properly.
@@localtechexperts Maybe the part I used was too heavy
What motherboard did you use Jason?
Hrm.. Just a H110-M board I believe.
Can u use a b550
@@Not_Sus-r1o It fits any motherboard of sizes ITX and MATX.. So a B550-M would be ok.
@@Not_Sus-r1o It can take any motherboard ITX or MATX sizes.
would I be able to use a momentary switch with this? the suzo happo off amazon to be specific? edit: the black one will be coming out soon, sept 12th I think
Those are like arcade switches are they? From memory those connect to another daughter board first then that board is connected via USB.
@@localtechexperts they’re basically the thing that turns a pc on and off. I’m worried about the diameter of the power button hole on the case not fitting the diameter of the momentary switch. (Basically a lock)
The button is quite small and would take a bit of working to get it to fit.
@@localtechexperts alright. Thank you so much!
I'd rather see more of the case review and less of the build personally
haha Well now I don't know what to do. Most people are dropping out about half way through the case breakdown so figured they were to long.
@@localtechexperts I usually skip the build montage because it goes so fast you can't really see what you're doing anyway
Can always play at 1/4 speed ;)
Will this fit a 360mm radiator
Did you watch the video at all? I use a 360 radiator in this actual build.
Does this case support vertical gpu mounting?
Not by default.. Maybe with some after market attachments it can.
Good review 👍
Thanks for watching :)
@@localtechexperts Is it suitable if you use an ATX PSU, if you use an air cooler?
Yes.. Even with a 240mm radiator in the top or 120 radiator in the back would be fine. Mainly because the ATX psu is mounted in the front.
motherboard model??
Oh Its been awhile but I think just a Gigabyte Q170-M of some description
Do you think an xfx radeon rx6600 will fit in it? It only has two fans
I think that should fit
Can you review the aqua 5?
If Okinos send me the 5 I will review it.. These cases are not really that available in Australia yet
