The UI options are pretty much 1 for 1 from FSX, this is very interesting
Was not expecting to see San Antonio when I clicked on your video! Love the content, I’ve been very curious about Prepar3d for a decade
I'll subscribe. I'm about to start uploading my own flight content on my channel. Good luck to you and hopefully see you Sunday at one of these airports. Not sure where you're flying out of just yet
Planejoe can you do more video training on Simdirector?
@@leroyjones1369 what type of content would you like to learn more about?
Besides the sentry/stratus series, any other adsb in receivers you recommended? Also does your insta360 get hot when on the dash? My x3 gets hot if it doesn't have an air vent pointed at it
@@Patelivision I will be testing out another ADSB in the coming weeks and make a video on it. My X4 does run into overheating so I will take it off the dash sometimes
Local AppData En var = %LOCALAPPDATA%
I got a Q533M from best buy as well. Intel core ultra 7 with a rtx 3050 6gb and 16gb ram and 1tb storage. I really like it for what it is. I wish it got 120hz tho. mine is oled too but only 60hz.
I’m getting my private pilot license out here in Orlando and I have that same bag. I’m flying out of KISM right now. I’m thinking about starting a channel sometime. Let’s grab lunch one day and chat.
@@IamSirdauntis would be happy to!
Wait did he just say vehicle?
Nice video
The best flight bag is a clear plastic 20$ Amazon bag. Waterproof, see through so you can easily acsses items and extremely durable. No need for fancy and expensive, aviation already has enough of that.
That's a very cool flight bag! I used a similar bag for my video production gear. Thanks for sharing. :)
Thanks for sharing! I'm looking into getting a camera bag as well as work through PPL and keeping all my equipment organized. Peak Design is one of my options I'm considering, and this video helps to see headsets, ADS-B, iPads, etc fit really nicely! I'm also considering Nomatic Luma camera bag, but that's at 18L. Not sure if that will be too small.
Happy to help! I do really love my bag and there's so many options to choose from. I highly recommend having a backpack dedicated for flying
Always got to hold that rudder until the nose of the aircraft is on the ground. We've all done it lol. Easy to forget that's how your nose gear steers lol.
I can hear my instructor yelling at me right now 😂
Id swap em all for a parachute.
Vehicle does not fly🤫
I can attest to this, I started my training February of 2023 still not complete due to lack of confidence and just pure nervousness. I can’t seem to get over the sinking feeling I get when flying. But nonetheless I will complete my training by the end of this year if not early next year. Thanks for the content
But it's not too late to get back in! What would help you get started again?
This was very helpful! Thank you!
Hello Captain
Jessie really put her foot in this one. Amazing logo😍
I am trying to create a rescue mission were a copter picks up stranded people on island. Not sure how to use the trigger or action menu.
Hi Plane Joe can you create a video on how to use the trigger option?
How did you attach those weapons on that F 35?
🤞🏿🍀🌠 I want this so bad!
Hey Joe, I first came across this video about 5 months ago and overall peaked my interest in flying especially because you are flying out of my home airport. Well after 5 months of having the flying bug I officially booked my first discovery flight for next week! Thank you for the content and inspiring people to take the leap.
This is humbling to hear and makes this channel worth it, thank you for the comment! Glad I could help out and hope you have an awesome discovery flight! See you in the sky
Can we add wing man in p3dv5?
Dream bike ❤ With love from India
Too funny😂😂…. You’re a natural at this TH-cam stuff… Lol
The way you say this word is triggering
What word?
this man knows what he is talking about, just look at his glasses
Now you're speaking my language
My dream is to become a pilot, I’m in senior year but my teachers have discouraged me from becoming one because I have glasses. Is that really true, would that be a problem? Also thanks, you have given me lots of motivation and understanding of what it takes!
The FAA will actually allow you to use corrective vision up to a limit, so yes you can become a pilot with glasses, contacts, or even corrective surgery
%LOCALAPPDATA% seems to work for AppData\Local\ on Windows 7 and Win10 without special configuration.
Not too bad landing seen a lot worse ❤
You just got my discovery flight for soooo much cheaper with the Groupon tip!
Glad to hear that, hope you enjoyed the flight!
I have my discovery flight coming up this weekend. I inquired with a school with more than a dozen instructors. Can you have more than one discovery flight to find the right instructor fit or is that a not possible or frowned upon. Lastly, not just within one school, can you do multiple discovery flights at multiple different schools to see which school feels like the best fit?
Great question, I'll make another video about this but short answer, take as many discovery flights as you need. They all count toward your logbook. Even if you sign to go with a school and are given an instructor you can still shop around for instructors within the school, which is exactly what I did
@@_planejoe_ thank you!
Just stumbled across your page and I already love the channel! Great video man. I'm a pilot in Central FL. If you're ever around let's fly!
I trained out at X04!
@@_planejoe_ small world! I fly out of KDED.
Nicely done, guys! I appreciate your videos, especially since you're in the DC area. I'm working on my PPL, and SFRA management is an element most other YT channels don't cover. Would you mind doing a video for a cross country flight with aeronautical charts navigating around the various airspaces around here?
If this was Saturday, that air was super unstable, so no judgment on the landing. I was out in the state park doing a race (jealous of planes overhead), and we were poured on later.
Very nice flight! Good stuff
Really nice!
Do you know what medical conditions would disqualify someone from obtaining a medical certificate?
Great question, there are 4 levels of medical certificates that can be given (1st, 2nd, and 3rd class, and BasicMed). Some examples of items checked are the eyes for visual acuity, color blidness, mental health, cardiovascular health and more. There is a pretty extensive breakdown that can be found on the AOPA website
Went for my discovery flight . Got pretty sick 🤢, any ideas on how to deal with that ?
@@zainsajid007 There's a few steps you can take, but make sure to get some fresh air from the cockpit vents, stay hydrated, and if you're feeling dizzy try to pick a point in the distance and focus on it. I usually have my passangers "ghost" me on the controls so they feel a bit more control. Just make sure not to jerk the controls around :)
@_planejoe_ thank you so much for your reply in detail . Those are some good ideas .
Scary loved the video thou
A landing is definitely not a stall
Valid response! The only difference is critical AoA
@@_planejoe_ I’m not sure what you mean, but by definition a stall is when the aircraft exceeds its critical angle of attack. On approach during a flare and until the wheels touch the ground you are in controlled flight and have not reached the critical AOA. On occasion in small aircraft as airspeed bleeds off while in ground effect you may approach a stall indicated by the warning horn, but you don’t stall.
@@David.176 I'm agreeing with you, a stall is exceeding the critical AoA, which results in a loss of lift. I'm picking on the loss of lift portion of the stall. That's why I'm calling it a hot take, it's meant to be a somewhat controversial thing to say

Great video man, keep it up
Nice meeting you today keep up the amazing content
Pleasure meeting you, see you in the skies!
More of this joe please!!!
Excellent video more of this
Can this be flown from an external hard drive and how do you set up a x52 joystick?
