It was found by it's present owners in 2017 and was authenticated by Cyril Malem CTG F1 Racing who built it for Geoff Wood in 1973 with his partner Len Terry, the F1 Lotus desighner supremo. So Steve Barnard, before you be charged with deception, delete your false editorial comments, and just tell the truth. Your Escort is the ex Jim Evans Escort race car, that he raced with a 2.0 ltr Pinto engine, with a turbo.

It has come to light that the Steve Barnards yellow Ford Escort Super Saloon is not the ex Geoff Wood LT40 Hart Escort Super Saloon, that he has been telling everyone, why did he say this, beggars belief. Steve Barnard's yellow Escort is an old racing Escort of Jim Evans who had a Ford Pinto Turbo charged engine in it, and Steve Barnard bought it off Ebay. this car was driven by nick may in the 1988 btcc it was in the same class as the sierra cosworths but had half the horse power so want a very competitive car but sounded nice
