I cane from an Ip11 pro max.. and it's still a big upgrade even if it was a regular non pro modern phone.

was eyeing this and was sold coming from iphone X but after i learned it was gen 2 usb c and 60hz on the store, i went to 15 pro immediately and so glad i went that way because AI is only available starting with 15 pro models and M chips devices (m1 or later macbooks/ipads) also pro-res log videos on 15 pros are just amazing

Good afternoon.. Normal lang po ba na mabilis malowbat tws pag ldac codec? Naka off ang ANC. Like 2 hrs lng tinatagal pag ldac. Pag naman sbc codec, 4-5 hrs lng. 70% volume. I'm using Huawei freebuds 5i

kinda sucks that usb c on base 15 is still on older version so data transferring is slower compared to pro models

2 USB 2.0? Really? I wouldn't call the port selection generous either, I'd say it is standard. Webcam placement is an additional point of failure that I would rather not have. No mention of the laptop display, which should have been in the video. It has poor colour accuracy from what I gathered online (59%), and it has a low brightness (approx 300 nits). The colour accuracy part is particularly disappointing in 2024. 11th gen intel isn't great. I wouldn't buy this in 2024. I'd argue that 12th gen is the bare minimum. 8GB of ram in 2024 is insufficient. It is also soldered, which although contributes to the thin-ness of the laptop, would require the customer to buy a new laptop if his/her RAM needs increases. 256GB of storage is wholly insufficient as well, although that is upgradable. You say that this laptop can handle basic video editing, which is true. Personally, I have found the performance of this chip to be poor when paired with Davinci Resolve. Scrubbing through 1080p footage is laggy and exporting takes forever. Battery life at 3 hours when you only used it for writing the script is disappointing. I would have to lug around a charger if I'm attending lectures. It's not a big deal since it charges via USB-C, but its battery life is way too short. Personally, I would go with a Lenovo Thinkbook with an AMD chip instead. Not only is it built like a tank, it has significantly better battery life. Although it is thicker, it offers more ports.
