She is the only BO member who (probably) knows everything about her organization's enemy, including the fact that Ai is Sherry & Conan is Shinichi. Even after the Jet-black Mystery Train case, Vermouth knows that Ai isn't dead. So why is she keeping on protecting both of them from her comrades? Well, for Hidemi (Kir) & Amuro (Bourbon), they obviously have no reason to hurt them since they are federal agents (CIA & PSB respectively), but Vermouth, she is a different story altogether, all loyal to BO until she knows who Conan really is. She even considers Conan/Shinichi as a threat that is as big as Shuichi Akai (maybe even bigger), even coined the term "Silver Bullet" on both Akai & Shinichi
