Try to get your boat head onto the wind when un-capsizing it. Instead of having the side to the wind, otherwise lit will either fall the other way or you could get stuck under the mast. But nice tacking anyway...

very good potential. i feel your black and white really demonstrates the dog's sadness well. however i think you should switch back to normal colors when the dogs happy because the difference really exaggerates the contrast in emotions and that would work well.
