Nice, my MXR super badass distortion seems to have much more gain on tap
I have this pedal alongside my expensive ones and it does the job great, the reason that they are so affordable is the chipset being that of a karaoke machine, and the plastic housing, but it seems really solid and simple enough to last a long time.
Vocals too quite, drums too loud. Small venue problems but you killed it!
Great video! I love that you put your signal chain in the description.
Great review Larry..thinking of getting one and this was really helpful..cheers Al I Northern Ireland
Blueyyyy!
Stoner rock
So beauty
I like it
Mine gives an awful hum noise - any one else have this problem?
Awesome video. Keep on rocking. I got 2 of these
blowme
Awww, is somebody butthurt?
MUM! DAD!
song starts at 0:20
Adding a touch of pedal effects to this would raise the stakes, young-bloods. (just a touch, though) Get a female friend to sing, or even just "recite" the lyrics, while using hand percussions. Got that so far? Now dress cool and sell tickets, hear? (kids today)
which vintage fuzz is this based on?
its a copy of the 70s Maxon distortion master
Gravity falls theme)
New sub ! I just bought this pedal . Got it for under $40 . I have the big muff but this will do for home jamming ! This is less harsh .
Should have used a clean (non-distorted) tone.
Omg this is cute it’s like a family reunion for instruments
This is the exact circuitry of the MXR classic distortion pedal which is cheaper than the distortion 3
I've read that it's got limited threshold range and can't handle hiss from low output pickups well. But I'm skeptical of noise gate reviews because this is a category of devices that's easy to use in the wrong context. Have you run into problems with this?
Bluey
Thanks for the video, very good. I have a question. Does the guitar lose volume when you activate the pedal?
Every stick that I owne serves a purpose all them are great
It would be nice if you played the same riff with and without the pedal to show differences. After all that’s what pedals are for 🤷♂️
Dont even think about thinking about it baby dks💀
I like it, but I wish it kept looping without stopping and starting again. I want a continuous loop without stop and start
No, buy Tonex)
you forgot to turn the gain knob off.
240 subs and a few views tells me all I need to know.
The MXR B.A. line of pedals are underrated. They produce some really nice tones.
You seem a bit tired, cool video, how about some caffeine ? : )
Perhaps I need more coffee! :D
I have the Julia V1 it was my first Walrus Audio pedal and I love it. After that, I bought the Slotva reverb, an amazing pedal. Creates a lot of ambiance sounds and inspires your creativity.
I feel MXR diſtortion + is underrated deſpite being ‘‘legendary’’.
I was in the position to decide between helix, the fm3 and the QC. For me the QC is just a dream - the useability and UI makes it so easy making tweaks on the fly (at rehearsals, gigs etc). I brought the QC with the knowledge of it's capability not with the trust of what comes. So i'm happy with whats in it right now. Everything what Neural is gonna put in this thing is a bonus for me!
Still on the fence with this unit-Now I am looking at some new gigs (Duo/Acoustic style) I want to know if can you copy the executables from my Rabea, Soldano etc. plugins into the Quad Coretex. If not, what plugins come with this unit? For the amount of this unit's cost-I just can't justify it without trying it first. Also trying to see how this would plug into a Bose PA eliminating the need to lug 2-3 smaller amps to each gig.
I would add to my original comment that on average 2 to 3 Quad Cortex's go up for sale on The Gear Page every two weeks. People are continuing to bail on Neural's unkept promises and slow development process.
@@Utubesup7890 : You make no sense, a handful? LOL Typically more QC's go up for sale than Kempers, Helix on TGP. Have a look lately at Reverb, check out how many QC's are for sale.
@@Utubesup7890 : Thanks for setting me straight fanboy! LOL
@@flashbak01 I never even heard of neural before the quad and I passed on it 3 times moron because I couldn’t stand the kemper or helix. Shove it Fangirl. I just know what feels and sounds good since I saved up and have great amps while you’re playing through a dam plug in thinking you sound good with your one power chord. #Loser
Good job guys. I I play the autoharp to but not as well as y'all thanks for sharing
Were you running this into an effects loop or in front of the amp?
Wonderful pedal. Great video. Thanks for sharing. Full watch, like nr 6 and subscribed 🙂
Sure, they've been saying that so much more to come line and still haven't made good on a number of features/promises that where supposed to arrive shortly after it's initial release which is going on close to 2 years now! Like the PC editor and ability to use you Neural purchased plugins with the unit. Promises, promises until I just became so disappointed with Neural's pettifully slow development cycle for the QC I sold mine and have never looked back!
100% hear you .... I am on the fence about selling mine and going with a Axe FX lately. I own ToneX as well (but it's not an all in one obviously) and both ToneX and Axe have great desktop editors. I know I could combine ToneX and the Axe and do everything I would ever need and still have a very portable setup.
This pedal should get more love! Some really nice sounds.
Very nice low to mid gain pedal.
I think you have demoed better fuzz pedals on the channel. Fuzz is very subjective though. This pedal wasn’t “nasty” enough for tastes.
I could see that, nice description - "nasty" is a good word for Fuzz, haha. Which one did you like the most so far?
By far the Dano 3699. Although the MXR variac had some nice tones.
I have a older axe-fx II mark II and cortex love both .. But I sit in a room and mess around is about it lol.
Ehh…
Maybe a little more education. Where was the pedal in the chain? Play the same chain of pedals and remove the gate to see what the gate is actually doing and while you are using it.
This was set in front of the signal path (first in the series) with only 1 overdrive pedal after it - a lot of people like to send a cleaned up signal into their pedal chain, so that it doesn't add to any bad sounds along the way (if any exist). This is my preferred placement
Thank you for this review!!
