Valley Gravel Tour 2022

Another attempt at a massive gravel grind in the Fraser Valley - all mapped out by Carston Ivany. Sadly another early eject and not completing it, just like how the GoPro bracket broke off to end my video... enjoy! #bcgravel

That big washout above Murphy lakes was dug out when i passed through a few weeks ago. it's passable on a bike. A couple of big culverts had been repaired too. Do you know if the Britton creek bridge on Tulameen river road will get replaced?
My favourite part was the gravel road.
Not the tunes? 🤪
Nice ride JP
i wish i'd seen this earlier. i used Tulameen fsr and Tulameen river road from Britton rest area last week. Tulameen river road was closed as a bridge was removed. i made it through but your route looks better.
Yes bridge gone on Tulameen river (haven’t heard of it when it’ll get fixed). It is easier terrain than the path I took but I knew the bridge was gone thanks to the 2021 floods.
Where is tulameen River road closed? Planning on bike packing Oliver to surrey but struggling to plan the tulameen to hope section
As a follow up question, would you say that Britton Creek fsr is the way to go?
@@petersingh330 its the britton creek bridge thats been removed. that was 1 year ago, i dont have any updates.
Great video Justin - can't wait to follow that road! Hey How many battery did you use with your gopro?
I think a couple. Only doing clips vs video non stop.
Great vid JP. The overgrown stuff was a real leap of faith there was no big rock or branches below. Reminded me of the stuff I just did on Galiano. Glad it was only the GoPro that tumbled at the end and you weren’t still connected to it.
Absolutely. Was some rough gravel. Poor mount completely snapped off.
JP that was an epic ride, thx for filming it to give me an idea of what it’s like. Those descents were insane, wow. Well done.
That looks so good JP, I’m definitely going to find that trail, thx for the video!!
can you do this on 700x32 tires?
Yeah should be ok but wider better. I ran 35s.
@@JP-gravel Thanks
another great vid, cheers. i was curious about that route around chilliwack mtn to rosedale bridge.
What do you want to know? I did share the link to my Strava ride. Thanks for watching.
@@JP-gravel i saw that route on strava heatmap, connecting from the dyke around chilliwack mtn. now i know its a viable route. thanks for the strava link
Great footage. Those were some great descents!
Thanks!
Which trail is this at Golden ears?
The last part looks like the Mill Creek Trail. Before that, as he rides past the mountain goat sign is the Alouette Valley Trail.
Some great trails discovered thanks to COVID and looking for a change of scenery ;)
That’s awesome Justin . We were riding this weekend on kvr from kelowna to Penticton.
