I know, I thought it was strange how similar they are on the cheeks. I like both but was hoping they'd show up more distinctly on me.

They do build a little, but if you're much darker than me I'm not sure if you'd get a ton of color out of it. It may also have to do with undertone, though. I (think) I'm neutral leaning warm but it's possible Ginger Luck would show up more distinctly on someone with cooler undertones. But the deeper shades are such good additions! I may even go back for Big Diva Energy at some point but I had to show some version of restraint. Thanks for the sub! I love finding out there are other people who love on blush like I do!

Do you have any comparisons for the brow gel? I have such STUBBORN eyebrows and the Kulfi isn't quite doing it for me but I don't know how strong the hold is on the MAKE. I agree, for the price, I think they're doing really great formulas.

I prefer something fairly dense, with medium length synthetic bristles. My favorite (non-discontinued) brush is the BK Beauty 109 (go.shopmy.us/p-6187311). I have an old d/c e.l.f. brush I love, and I think their putty brush would work really well (go.shopmy.us/p-61874280). A brush that is too fluffy will have a harder time picking up the formula.

I think the really do apply differently. I can get the powder to apply fairly sheer and it builds really well, the Glow Play will always have a little more translucency to it because of the formula. The biggest difference between the two is that the powder is truly matte and the Glow Play isn't and will take on the finish of the foundation beneath (whereas the powder always mattifies what's beneath it). If you think that flexibility of finish will be useful to you, I could make a case for owning both.

Really trying to scrutinize them in swatches just now I would say the new ones are ever so slightly more matte/dry. The old shades also have more shimmer particle in them, it’s subtle but it’s definitely there. However, in the video I think what’s really exacerbating it is how dry my skin is. I’ll report back, but I believe with better skin prep on my part, they would look the same on the face as the old ones. I have super dry and dehydrated skin so if my skin is going through it, it’ll suck the moisture out of anything.

The liquids that came out recently or the kind of putty creams in pans? I have both so yes, I could do a video!

Sleepy Girl surprised me because it's not the kind of shade I think about but then I love it on me.

Promise I’m not licking them off! The taste I comment on is because it’s on my lips and I can taste it. In between swatches, I wipe them off with a tissue.

In my blush swatching videos I don’t worry so much about making them all look flattering on my face shape. I’m also a big fan of makeup for fun so sometimes I do wear my blush a little wild. If you have tips for where you think blush would look best on my face shape, I’m open to it.

Since I was applying them thick to demonstrate the pigment it seeped in a little and then I got that alarming taste which DID go away and wasn’t an issue after that initial application.

I hope you like yours! What shades did you get? And I agree-and with some of the bigger celebrities I feel like they send their PR to non-makeup people who won’t even care that much 😭

The Bioderma Sensibio H2O! It’s my favorite micellar water and I’ve been using it for years. I also use the Shiseiso cotton pads, which are unfortunately the softest ones I’ve tried. If you have really sensitive skin (or think you’ll need to take off cheek makeup 4 times in a row), soft cotton pads also make a big difference.

I agree! The swatches online made it very difficult to decide. I hope Glossier keeps doing LE packaging and fun capsules. I know they sometimes do shades for holiday but they’ve never made huge style changes for the packaging.

They’re so good! NARS is doing 25% off right now and I’m tempted to get Exhibit A because I think the more buildable formula will make that color easier to wear. Glad you’re liking them, too!

Hi! I'm thinking about getting the shade sex appeal OR behave, and I want to ask you how light do you feel the color of sex appeal is. If it's too light, I'll get the behave, but there are not a lot of videos on TH-cam to allow me to judge... my skin is pretty light and cool tone btw.

I think the Hydra Glow is beautiful, I think if I had a perfect shade match I’d be more tempted to grab it but I think my Reboot is more neutral than any of the new shades so I’m reluctantly sticking with it until I use it up. I don’t show restraint in many ways so when I can, it helps!

These are not a strong matte at all, they will allow the finish of your foundation to come through. I’d say they feel similar to the touch as Haus Labs and they swatch similarly but I haven’t applied them side by side to compare how they wear.

I totally agree that these are more natural looking colors, I think that’s probably why they look unusual in the pan is because they tend to lean more skin-tone native! I love a bold blush but even lighter tones can be jarring if they’re too opaque or too “primary” colored.

also I loved watching you play with colors outside of your comfort zone! i thought the look was fun and these shades look striking on your skin tone! please, play with more eyeshadows:) i'd love to see the other adept palettes you got! also i have eyes that just love to water when I'm playing with eye products. it's incredibly annoying.

I don’t think they kept it, truly. They lost four boxes of books which would have no resale value at all, then the boxes of makeup which I don’t think were even externally labeled accept “acrylic storage.” If they’d wanted to strategically lose valuables we had bins of power tools and other things that would’ve been easier to flip. Used makeup is valuable to ME but a pain in the ass to resell. I think they likely dropped them or they were otherwise very damaged and they trashed them instead of delivering them.

I guess I'd like to know if the powders are as easy to apply as the creams, do they last as long, are as pigmented, etc. I guess just how they perform overall in comparison to the creams which seem to be raved about (not much on TH-cam for the powder blushes). And yes, which consistency you like more and why. Please and thank you 😊.

@@jya811 Wearing the powder blushes again--the formula is quite silky and they come in two formulas, the blushlight which has a satin finish and then they have a matte finish formula as well. Both apply with medium pigmentation, can be built up but aren't immediately overwhelming. I like the formula of their powders quite a lot! They blend out well. The colors between a cream and powder in their line aren't very different (Lynx cream vs Lynx powder) but you'll get the different finish and use experience, which comes down to preference. Hope that helps!

I think those with dry skin will like the Designer Glow better overall. I like Luminous Silk but find it can be a little finicky for me when my dry skin is particularly bad. The Designer Glow was really agreeable without a lot of skincare prep for me.
