Boat Talks: The Clipper Boat race
In this ‘Boat Talk’ we find out a bit more about the Clipper Round the World Race.
Charlie - A Second Year Student Studying our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Outdoor Adventure finds out more from Charlie Whewell - Group Head of Higher Education for the Bedford College Group & Lecturer of Outdoor Adventure on the HNC course.
Charlie took part in the Clipper Round the World Boat Race in July 2024. Getting on the boat to crew Leg 8 of the race in Washington DC and sailing all the way to the finish, back in Portsmouth.
Well done Charlies!

Level 3 Expedition to Croatia

Last week some of our Level 3 students went to Croatia to undertake their expedition they have been planning for the Expedition unit they have been studying. We flew into Split and collected the boat then set sail around the islands, seeing dolphins, a hidden cave, an old Submarine pen and the HNC students! The second year level 3 students went on a trip to UKSA on the Isle of Wight. Our First year Level 3 Diploma students were due to be Windsurfing last week, but cold weather and snow changed the plans to climbing!
