1:28 Evilous massacre im the master.
Soulful, poetic, beautifully vulnerable, timeless. He really poured his soul from somewhere deep inside to be able to make music that transcends time and makes it otherworldly and so beautiful. The Pink Moon album has to be up there as 1 of the greatest albums ever made. I feel so honored that i was allowed to 'find' the music of Nick Drake over 20 years ago. Like someone who mentioned in a comment about Nick Drake which i will never forget. They said "That God will always find a way for people to discover the music of Nick Drake". About 24 years ago, i walked into an independent record store when at that exact moment there was a song playing (which turned out to be Cello Song), i loved the song, it just hit me in my stride immediately. In my ignorance i thought it was a Donovan song i had'nt heard (I have a number of Donovan albums and i thought the voice sounded a bit like Donovan) I walked to the counter and asked the shop assistant which Donovan album was this from. The assistant smiled and explained to me that it was Nick Drake. I left the store having bought the Way To Blue compilation. I was blown away on first listen and played it endessly. After that i knew i had to get his albums and learn all about this incredible songwriting, guitar playing genius i had been 'gifted'. I bought Five Leaves Left, Bryter Layter and the incredible Pink Moon album, and also some compilations with demos and rare tracks. Just like that comment by someone about Nick Drake, i truly believe that God, or the creator, or whatever you want to call it, found a way for me to find the music of Nick Drake. I feel honored when i listen to my Nick Drake albums. His beautiful music tranceds all time and the sound from his guitar and voice has a soulful, poetic vulnerability to it, which can give you goosebumps or make you cry. God, Creator or fate will find a way for every passing generation to find the beautiful music of Nick Drake.🙏🎶💯
Hard to believe this was the 70s... way ahead of his time. Hope wherever he is now, he knows how appreciated he has become
I could swore there were more uploads of this sketch before. The feeling it gives me is still as raw as I remember
Lisa ono is criminally underated :(
Silly question, but what on earth happens at 1:43? Assume it's not AI, so was it clever sound manipulation?
❤❤❤❤

was this the reunion show?
Nick is a genius and I guess nobody cares here, but this is by no means what is usually meant by guitarists as fingerpicking - I think you could call it just "arpeggio" or at best "finger-style"
Brilliant ❤
I would die in ecstasy

Don't Know Why I waited 'til I saw the sun I don't know why I didn't come I left you by the house of fun I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come When I saw the break of day I wished that I could fly away Instead of kneeling in the sand Catching teardrops in my hand My heart is drenched in wine But you'll be on my mind Forever Out across the endless sea I would die in ecstasy But I'll be a bag of bones Driving down the road alone My heart is drenched in wine But you'll be on my mind Forever Something has to make you run I don't know why I didn't come I feel as empty as a drum I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come
nah fred did this sample absolute justice
Now I'm older gotta get up clean the place

Beyond all human understanding...that's why...in TIA I was called to create #nickdrakegreatspiritualmovement thank you Nick for Always 🙏💜🌌🌟🧿💙🤍😌
Does anyone know if there was any footage? I swear i’ve seen nothing uploaded.
How can you not know Lisa Ono or Norah Jones who tf is freddie😭 get out
He is rapper who sampled this song
You’re probably gonna get shit for this by a bunch of morons, but a rapper sampled this song in his version ‘Endless Sea’. Think what you want about the attention brought to the song, personally I think it gives good exposure to Lisa Ono and helps keep her amazing music alive. That’s all I have to say about that
Love this
Can someone outline where the different fragments came from?
12:49 I love them aw
God 12rods always sounds so cool live, that one recording of summertime vertigo circa 2002 is one of my favourite recordings of them ever. Thanks for uploading this, obsessed with this band recently <3
AND ASTROGIMP LIVE IS ALWAYS SO COOOLLL ahhh never getting over them
I first heard this version 30 years ago and it is still the Place To Be gold standard....
Yep it's better than the album recorded ones. agreed. How long have you known about nick?
@@Runescape. maybe 35 or so years...he was very special....
Well said 👏 the songs from the Pink Moon album, whatever versions, are pure gold. 1 of the greatest albums ever made.💯
Its a fred D-I-E 😂

Hahaah endless sea 😁😁❤❤
Classic album
Ahead of it's time.
Heart breaking beautiful sadness is Nick Drake.
Love the voice this woman. Her voice is a sweetness
I feel honored to know that this woman is from Brazil!!
i was hoping this would be on the new album but alas...
weren't we all.. 😭
Here it is very clear that freddie dredd is a big fan of lisa ono because he does not stop using her songs as "samples" in his rap songs. We already saw it in "cha cha", "viva nao mais" and now in "endless sea".
He have a such good music taste lol
Wish could see you play
The guitar finger picking is insane. Just perfect and beautiful.
Amazingly clear and deliberate! Master finger picking!
