Kittanning Firemen's Band

The Kittanning Firemen’s Band is an all-volunteer organization, formed in 1949, dedicated to preserving the traditions of the classic American marching band and its music. Our band has celebrated many Pennsylvania State Championships and is always working to uphold the excellence and repeat in years to come. We also have had the honor of performing numerous times at Heinz Field as guests of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The KFB is open to men, aged fifteen and up. We are made up of members from all over Armstrong, Butler, Indiana, Westmoreland, and Allegheny Counties in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Kittanning Firemen's Band Semper Fidelis 1709353390760
The Kittanning Firemen's Band was formed in 1949 and in 2024 will celebrate their 75th Anniversary. Semper Fidelis was written by John Philip Sousa as his salute to the United States Marine Corps. This selection was recorded live by the band in 2008 at Kittanning High School and remains one of the groups' favorites. The band was under the direction of Jason Krecota, Drum Major Derian Keefer and Color Sergeant Dennis Woyton.

Memorial Day is one of the most special holidays for our great nation as we honor the ultimate sacrifice that so many brave men and women gave for our country. We are eternally grateful to them. The members of the Kittanning Firemen's Band hope that this tribute can serve as a small token of appreciation to that sacrifice.

In Heaven There Is No Beer (COVID-19 Quarantine Edition)

The guys of the KFB would have normally started our early season rehearsals by now and would have had some parades and event coming up, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic we've been stuck at home like lots of folks. You guys are great! My grandfather owned a shot and a beer tavern in the "good days!" He and his friends always had fun with this polka! I can even remember it being played at some weddings in a hall! My kids think I'm making this up. Yeah, how could I!! Thanks for the memories! Stay safe and well!
