Amanda's Trying
Canada
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 9 ธ.ค. 2019
I have struggled with different health problems for most of my life. From jaw issues to brain injuries, to anxiety.
The idea for this channel is that I am able to capture what my health journey is like for me as it continues. It's to help myself process everything, but also to provide validation and information for anyone who's going through something similar. I hope this can become a safe place for people to recognize that they are not alone, and that there is hope for better health.
(FYI, I live in Canada, so my experiences with the health care system, etc. will be specific to Canada).

Toxic positivity feels terrible, especially when the person advocating for a positive mind set has never been in pain for a prolonged period of time and thus has no idea what it feels like to have to struggle through every part of the day. I find it most helpful when someone acknowledges that my pain must be a lot to deal with and that if I need someone to talk to they will listen even if they cannot completely relate or understand.
I am so happy I found your channel. These things you talked about I can relate to so much. I don’t like it either when people ask how am I 😂 I usually don’t feel like getting into it because it goes over peoples’ heads most of the time so I just laugh too!!
Also, what are your neck stretches? I think I need to try them out! I will try anything 😂
Someone else recently asked me about them too! I'll make a video showing what I do because I do find it gives me some relief
My concussion happened almost 10 years ago and I still have symptoms that worsened further after I got Covid a few years ago. Recently I went to a doctor and I ranked my pain at an 8 and they looked at me like, “You’re lying, you look fine.” And the reality is, when you’ve felt pain for so long it just is and I’ve stopped freaking out about it and accepted it. Even though it sucks big time!
Ugh! What an awful response from your doctor but it doesn't surprise me... it's crazy what we can get used to and convince ourselves is normal. I hope you can find a doctor that cares about your pain and wants to help you 💜
The cutest!!!
Good that you having progress.Things like this take time and I’m praying for you 🙏💕 You are beautiful and smart and God loves you very much❤️🌼❤️🌼
💜💜💜
Loved!!🤣🤣
Ur underated i like ur channel
Pt. 2 out now 😁 - th-cam.com/video/BU6w3lRgt-A/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for the video! I'm wearing braces so that I can undergo orthognathic surgery, and I'm in the phase of researching more and more about it because with each appointment I attend, I think more and more about how the day of the surgery will be. As for the vomiting part, I really hope that doesn't happen to me because I think I would panic :( But we have to be brave; unfortunately, these things can be part of the process, as it was in your case. Anyway, thank you for sharing your story with those who will go through this journey like me. Btw, your post-surgery result looks great!
I hope this video helped a little and didn't just make you more worried 😬 It's definitely a tough process but the end result will be worth it! You got this 💜💜
I hate spiders !!!! Your dog is sooo beautiful!!!
It’s probably a tick or a bug search it up to see what it look like don’t let your dog eat it tho it could kill your dog if it eats it you don’t know tho
Yeah, I realized afterwards it's probably a good thing he didn't go near it 😅
The best thing I saw !!! Soo funny🤣
He is so cute and relaxing
Love watching your videos, Amanda❤️ You are such a strong person and I’m so proud of you for how far you’ve come. You are definitely helping others who may have gone through very similar experiences.
Thank you for the love and encouragement 😁💜
It’s very complicated but God is in control of everything! I can see you are very strong and amazing woman and I admire you!👏🥰God bless you always!
You did a good job with this mirror!I loved!❤ You go girl!!!
Haha, thank you 😊 💜
I love to hear about the Spoon theory The worst thing is want to do things and you CANNOT I feel your pain 😢 I love to hear your brother putting his energy to cleaning his room 😅 I love you and don’t forget God loves you sooo much🥰
Você está muito linda.
💜💜
I had a TBI three months ago - it’s been so scary! So much anxiety it’s horrifying. Sounds like your neurologist doesn’t believe in your illness and thinks you’re just crazy. That’s exactly where I’m at too. :( Stay strong. ❤
Yes, exactly... I'm so sorry you're going through something similar. Hope things get better soon and you find health care professionals that are supportive 💜 We'll get through this!
I really love this !😍 You guys are amazing and this experience is a very good lesson for who have this type of situation. Love you 😍 I’m very sure that you and Nicholas grow maturity with this difficult time God bless you always 💓
So nice to see you both in this video. I love seeing how you both are so close, praying for both of you! Hope to see you in person someday soon!
Yes, for sure - miss you guys!
Loved seeing you two together in a video! You guys are hilarious 😆 This was really heartwarming to watch. Think of you often.
