Great & fun tutorial + easy to follow - many thanks! Would love to see a volumetric version at some point!
Great tutorial. Keep them coming. Just updated to 2024 looking forward to relearning LW
Cool Channel ! 👑
corona vdb looks like crap, is there a way to make it look as the original pyro
@@MrMcnamex thanks for your Feedback. This is an older Tutorial, and just a test from the first new C4D Pyro. Today with C4D and Corona Updates it looks the same. But yes C4D Pyro looks not that good. I use Axiom with Houdini for fire.
Awesome
@@3artesestudio14 thanks very much
Perfect information!! Thanks !!
спасибо чувак!
If the translation is correct, your welcome. In Houdini 20.5 it is more easy and les switching stages.
VERY quiet... Can barely hear a word youre saying
@@ianay thanks for the feedback. It was one of my first Tutorials. I had to find out the right settings. The Sound of my newer Tutorials should be good.
wow you are a true hero, thanks so much for sharing this!
Perfect thanks. Seems to work with just using "float" in the Type as well instead of "2 float". Its just a slider but slightly less control.
With the 2float you can scale the texture individual per axis. So you can also stretch the tiles.
Thanks
Nice!
suuuper helpfull, thank you very much. this just saved me a ton of time!
Nice!
Thanks
thanks. just fyi, past participle of set is irregular, is set not setted
So, good old Lightwave appeared to me as a TH-cam recommendation today. I've been using Maya for 20 years but sometimes the LW comes back and brings back good memories. A few months ago I found many CDs where I saved work I did on LW for Amiga, around 1993. I downloaded the latest demo version available of LW and to my surprise the scenes were loaded without any problem, most of the time. I should have rendered these old animations with everything that the modern LW has at their disposal, such as Radiosity and the like. But the demo time expired and I lost the opportunity. Thanks for the video, great to see my old friend again.
Thanks, yes a lot has moved in the last 20 Years, and there was a silent time about LightWave 3D. But now LightWave 3D is back and will become better and better again.
@@CDA3DLive I honestly believe that LW’s time has passed. I didn't see any major advances in the last version (well, I only explored the shaders, light and rendering options), and it wasn't better or faster than what I already do with Vray in Maya. And with Blender's competition, with its gigantic community, LW shouldn't have much space besides old users, I assume. Maybe it was time for someone to make a side-by-side comparison video, tool by tool, and show the possible advantages of LW for Blender users. But it must be difficult to beat something that is free and good, which is becoming the choice of thousands of people who don't have the money to pay for expensive software licenses. My original LW 5.5 no longer competes with anyone, I believe. :).
@@mtrivelin the advantage of lightwave is that it is NOT a time limited subscription model software. For someone who uses LW intermittently I do not want to pay fees when I am not using the software. Maya costs a a fortune every month! I bought all Adobe CS 6 products before they switched to the subscription model and saved myself mountains of cash.
Yeah, Lightwave keeps popping up in the most unexpected productions. Batman Ninja, Onimusha Anime on Netlix, Dragon's Dogma, Star Wars Visions 'the duel' Interestingly enough I still use it with Zbrush and Unreal Engine. Yes, I use it for character animation and modeling. It still holds up. I'm glad that it's got new owners however the core issues that need to be fixed have not yet been dealt with. There are rumors of a major rework after the 2024 release so I'm hanging on to my chips until then. I've tried Blender and I just am not feeling it. It's good at many things and great at nothing. I'm sure some Blender weebo is grinding his teeth right now but Lightwave still holds up when used with other more modern softwares.
What are the specs of your workstation?
Nothing crazy, 4 year old PC with an AMD Prozessor and a GTX 2080ti , 64Gb RAM.
I did not know you could use the instance Info on Geo that was not created by the Instance Generator tool, but it makes sense because you have 10 objects sharing the same material.
So cool video tutorial as all tuto u made, well done congs.
Thanks you
👍
Info: The Geometry Rendernode can also be at the end of the node tree. You can assign the corresponding object.
Great Tutorial as always
Thanks you very much
I think I'm also going to start adjusting the images from the image editor, because LightWave has a bug when we add a color correction node, we simply stop seeing the textures in the viewport, it's very annoying, I hope they improve this quickly.
Awesome tutorial
This is amazing sir! Exactly what I am looking for. Thank you and please make more!
Thanks, glad it helps, more will come
Great work, I love it 😃

Interested, is there any software?
What you mean Software?
Awesome, Should be an amazing tutorial, think I
thanks, tutorial will coming soon
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us Live to learn more about Lightwave 2024 Many thanks
Thanks you, glad it helps
Well dona as alway, great tutorial, thank for doing it
Thanks you so much
Nice tutorial indeed. As this is really a Layout tutorial it would be handy to supply a scene file or at least the objects to load. The settings of course are based on a plugin for both LW, C4D and After FX, so the naming conventions are probably based around that. I would take notes as LWD now owns the code maybe they can change it to be more LW specific.
Thanks for the Feedback. I don"t add scene files to my Tutorials. The candle Asset I used is a free model from Poliigon. I'm sure there are a lot of pages to find free candle models to download.
I feel like this is like 8years too late
Turbulence is now part of LightWave 3D, so it will be actual again
@kope7777 - The market will decide whether you are right or not.
@@PHSPictures sorry to be frank, I didnt want to wrap it too much in cotton. sorry again.
@@kope7777 It's all good sir. No need to apologise for being honest with your opinion. Your experience leads you to draw the conclusion you do, and you've done nothing wrong in coming to that conclusion. I personally don't believe your conclusion holds much merit, but that's because I see things differently. I'm not really looking at it from the perspective of an artist who has experience of other fluid dynamic toolsets and thereby making comparisons between them. With me, I'm basing the worth of TFD on how well it helps LightWave Digital make sales of LightWave in a competitive 3D market. I believe that if TFD is marketed properly, then the market will decide whether the tool is good enough to help attract attention to LightWave 3D and thereby encourage potential sales. Added to that, the fact that LightWave Digital intends on continually developing TFD can only help in making it an even more worthwhile tool. So my view on TFD's worth is more from business perspective. Not an artist's comparative one. We just have different perspectives and one is no more significant than the other.
Really good video tutorial as always, I love it, learned so many things
Thanks you very much
Im sure this series will help out a lot of new comers to TFD, especially the legacy vol to see VPR. Look forward to some more.
Good stuff!
Soooo thaaanx Great job
Awesome, great tutorial, well done
Awesome! Thanks So much.
Very helpful. Thanks for the video. :)
your welcome, glad it helps
its called instances
Instances need a "master " Object; when the Master Object changes, the Instances change as well. Here, I have ten individual Spheres, which can be changed individually. so they are clones or copies :)
🙏
Thought Lightwave died a long time ago.
No, LightWave 3D is back and will become better and better again.
