He is not a playmaker. The man played a major role in the World Cup. It is difficult to defeat him physically, and he gives a great balance to the team in the midfield. The Amrabat family has fighter genes. As for his price, the man is a Moroccan Arab. He must create wings for himself to reach the price of those of the same quality as him. This is normal. Hakimi from Inter to Paris is 60 million. If he were English, it would not go below 80 million at that time.

He plays long back passes, but there's nothing extraordinary about them. The execution is predictable and lacks the precision or creativity that could make a real impact on the game. It's just another routine move, without the flair or vision that sets truly great players apart.

backpass against City is a strategy! you can't outpass City...so getting that pass to defence, helps to settle the pressure, and look for long passes, that was a strategy, and Lisandro, and Onana can pass accurately....Amrabat had to win 50/50 balls, intercept and break the midfield by winning balls whenever he can...

I think his back passing prowess is based on instruction by Erick,, remember United use Onana to build in the current system , we build from the box so if in his role wins the ball and get it back to a safe zone , that still a point for him, call it a build up recycler role,, i think he is misunderstood for doing what he has to do,, remember ETH use counter against traditional top six, so he has to play back to encourage opponent to push forward, u reali cant fault him,, you have to watch him within the system we play not out of it,, he is has great defensive posture and a low risky player,,,, when u play against side like City passing forward frequently may lead to loss possession bcz of compact play on their half, and lost possession against City is the worst thing that could happen, bcz getting it back is a mission,, so in big games like this he does the work superbly

@@ganjarginanjar1162 good observation, u must also notice how his back pass always pulled two players forward to Onana which always created a numeric advantage behind them for UTD to exploit,,, both goals we scored were based on that nemeric advantage , and late long ball release by Onana were forcing city to face their goal which was difficult to defend and forced them to make mistakes in both encounters ,,,ETH basically took what is known as City's strength (high press) and turned it to their weakness,,, if you look at KDB and Haaland movements on press , they were trying to force Onana to play long instantly ,, however Onana is a player with high pressure tolerance , hence he did not fall for it he kept the ball as long as he can until they committed more players to his area , then he will release it, that created a huge systematic problem for City ,, and KDB ghosted the game bcz mainly he could not execute the press correctly , and u could see Pep's frustration towards him,,, that is also another reason Pep subs KDB in tactical intense games bcz lets be honest he is terrible off the ball compare to the likes Alverez

As a USMNT fan who has seen Wes in person a number of times - but alas, never Pirlo, though I watched him play - you are probably right. That said, Wes has the chance to be a unique player, a. hybrid 8/regista, but neither purely one or the other. Remember too, he is doing this amazing flighted ball passing from largely a right sided position. If he were more central he would have more opportunities to display that particular skill. Someone dissed this performance because it was Frisone but remember the performance depends on the runs of teammates. Against better teams those runs would be fewer, but if somebody makes a good one, say, against Inter, and Wes is on the ball you will likely see the same flighted trajectory.
