Is the updated version only related to the timing chain tensioner, or does it also include the timing chain?

​@@robi7062i think he is referring to the updated chain tensioner with 4 oil passages (holes)

@@catvisimo you know more than me. I had a mechanic change the chain tensioner only. He said the chain and guides were okay as after a few seconds it stopped. This meant it just needed to build pressure up. As it wasn't continuous. This did resolve mine. Not saying it will work for you though. Hope that helps. All the best.

@@jaskajokunen3716 true, it can.. those just parts that break easiest and most often and cause the error code.. could also be leak in the exhaust, or sparks but the last one usually isn't indicated before you notice it anyway

what i mean is above lambda/cat is pretty minor issues and car drives great, it's just the mr. inspector that wants the lights to be off or he doesn't pass it.. if the emission test say car is good the light is just potentially expensive-to-fix annoyance (also good to have it off so can spot 'real' issues)

You can use OBD reader to switch off the light if it bothers, but it will light up after a while again since the computer checks the lambda readings every time you turn on the engine.. you might get it to indicate only every 200 starts.. still annoying.. I fixed mine by changing both lambdas.. cats are 800+ for no-brand ones, 2000+ for volvo ones and you might get one for 400-500 from wrecking.. not cheap fix if the car is 2005 s60 like mine, it's like price of the car.. and new cars are totally un-exiting and boring, so I just keep driving this old reliable.. no rust in 19 years, wtf.. s60r or v8 s80 are looking fun upgrades for cheap, idk.. what you think ? =)

@@n00blamer i have 04 t5 that has catless dp, i drove it like a week with the CEL on. I reset it with obd but it came on after every 3 starts. Tuning the o2 sensor off also wasnt option since then it wouldnt regulate anything with the cat on for inspection so i ended up getting a lambda extender with catalyst material in it 🤔If i had to pick between s60r or v8 s80 i would just pick the v8 since its alot rarer, even if you couldnt get as much power out of it. In my country cats for turbo s60s go for around 500€ for non oem. Also spending money on car if you like it, i dont see it as a big of a problem if you wanna keep the car for longer. I paid 6k for my car few years ago and ive spent almost 4k on mods on it already

Most of the s60 and s80 malfunctions are automatic gear box, I prefer the manual

@Pyro-Lyro I’ve been fortunate enough to not have lost any gears yet, she’s got a 2-3 shift flare and whatnot but it’s been somewhat ok, I’m at 330km

yes, the battery was replaced but not coded to the car, got the battery coded and it worked, the transmission was pretty dead

Yes it happened with my car same essue, when the alternator failed to charge probably.

I’m having the same exact issue but the shop told me I needed a new tcm

I just installed a new battery but I sent my tcm softelectronics in Bulgaria for diagnostics and repair

It was a faulty camshaft sensor, that limited the throttle, I cleaned the camshaft and it never happened again, Rev happy for the win

i had a loose bolt at the end of the VVT pulley, i realigned the pulley and timing belt, all good after that
