Counter clockwise was correct but these engines are known for the internal Governor gear and pin going bad. Pull the engine drain the oil. Flip it over and pull the crankcase cover. Make sure you purchase a new crank case seal KOHLER when reinstalling.

I have the same saw. It had running issues at day 1. Had to remove restricter caps from adjustment screws because the saw was bogging everything I squeezed the throttle. It was running dangerously too lean. I also recommend not using the Echo 2 cycle oil. Rather, I recommend Amsoil Saber Pro 100% synthetic 2 cycle oil instead.

Rotate motor until the opposite cyl head exhaust valve is compressed, then you set both valves at 0.10 to 0.15mm

Hey just wanted to say that I just flipped my first two mowers and I'm already addicted. I don't have a lot of time - this is just a side hustle for the evenings and weekends as I have a day job but I'm learning so much already and teaching my kids these skills as well. My first mower was listed for FREE on marketplace, a 140cc Powermore, and all that ended up being wrong with it was the spark plug was loose so it wasn't getting any compression. My second mower I bought for $25, a 125cc Briggs, and I cleaned out the plastic briggs carb jets and it ran like started right up. These two mowers made me $150 profit in one week and I'm evenutally hoping to scale it up to $1000/month in extra cash. Love the channel. Subscribed!

I might be wrong but I'd suspect a valve adjustment. Air cooled generators are kinda high maintenance pos from my experience and if you use them often they expire pretty quick. I use one to power a portable water pump for livestock troughs frequently if I get a whole year out of one before the rings are shot and completely burning oil I'm doing good.

That engine is choking so hard it's calling me daddy. Change the air filter and clean the carb dude

1:45 those green/red dots is the engage/disengage tab on the back of the transmission behind the mower. One slot is engage the other is for transport. I have a 3013 and the tires were locked. But just the brake was stuck. Messing with the release didnt help me. Had to tap the linkage lever on the transmission with a mallet to get the brake to unstick. Good to see this resolved.
