Winding big coil for Vertical Antenna
มุมมอง 4.5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hi, this is my first video in the series of making a 9-Band Vertical Antenna. The first step was to make 5 coil with the diameter 80mm, i got 83mm fine with me. In Eu you got 6m long aluminium paips. The one That is required for this antenna is 6mm diameter. Here is a quick video how i manage to make them with the help on my sons. Great idea, similar to a vibratory plow for placing larger cables in the telco industry

More details as to how much loading needed for a 20 meter vertical using so aluminum tubing and possibly loading it in the middle using fiberglass tube to hold and support the aluminum tubes one being just over 8 feet long and the other somewhat less how many turns, etc would be helpful.

easy... if 20m = 6.1 m waire its 5.5m pipe, if bottom is 3m then 1.5 m coil the rest is whip! 20m is short so dont add a coil... 40m is 10m long +_ (33ft) so deduct what you have as a bottom and top section, and add a coil of 10 turns, push out length for resonance. pipe diameter matters as well, so not easy to calculate as all property ground and buildings in close proximity matters, yet easy to determine, ity takes elbow grease, meaning get of the chair and go outside ;)
