The biggest concern I have is when Utah is the team to beat they tend to not play up to their own standard. Hopefully all this big 12 hate keeps them on alert and not get big heads.

The Utah t team byu beat was with a qb that was gone after 2.5 games. Rising came in and Utah took off.

Having a decent TE is always a plus. Having last years is a huge..SUCK. No one had to defend against aTE on offense so there was an extra guy to plug the middle. Go Utes

I find that utah fans are very proud of utah. Lol. Before i ask tuff questions, i will say i predict utah has the easy schedule and should go 10 and 2. If you dnt kyle will need to retire. Lol Who was the bottom of pac 12. Almost every team. Since the big 12 has been around, Washington has had a zero winning team. Even the best pac 12 team Oregon has had a losing season. Utahs 2021 championship season. 2 top 25 team. Byu goes 5 and 0. Utah had 4 loses. The bottom 6 teams are always bad, they rotate.

If Whitt doesn’t retire this season then he’ll honor his contract just like his dad and LaVell and give it to Scalley and he will be consulted for Scalley!!!

Isaac Wilson is getting a knee surgery that could happen anytime.

1- Rising. Enough said 2- Kuithe. Best TE in the country 3- Singer. Dynamic WR and best pass catcher we've had since probably 2008 4- Barton. Thick neck and tougher than nails 5- Bernard. Versatile and shifty with a great chemistry with Cam Prediction 11-1 + Big 12 championship. The loss will probably be some fluke game like UCF or Iowa State that Utah overlooked

I always liked Utah from the outside. I loved that they took the limelight from USC, Oregon, Washington, UCLA. They bring a recent high pedigree to the B12, which we need with the two teams that left. That's not a bad thing, and I wish you well. We would love to meet you guys this year, but it'll be tough for us both to get there. Couz is our best WV source.

Couz is one of the only Big XII podcasts (WVU) I subscribe to. He's level headed and doesn't go full "homer" in his opinions. Utah doesn't have to face WVU this season unless... They meet in the Big XII Championship game. Hope both teams have a great season. GO UTES!

I think our conference has a chance to be sneaky good in the near future. I truly hope (as a West Virginia fan and alum) that when the ACC does finally collapse, we can snag pitt and Louisville; hopefully Va Tech also. Regardless of catching up financially to the two big conferences which, will never happen, the B12 could be the most well rounded and exciting conference in all of sports. Greene's Height is an issue, his small frame is an issue.... The pros and cons to these two issues ... Defense can't find him and small frame make him elusive to defenses.... Height cons - seeing the field ...passing lanes so he can get the pass / ball to his playmakers. ( his passes get tipped at the line of scrimmage ) next - issue will be his accuracy and it comes from his feet work .... seeing things late and having a window to pass through... make him prown to INTs ... Greene has heart and great desire to do well... WVU better have all three QBs ready to go with a game plan for each of them for every game. Couz is a good guy but I'll hold out on passing judgement on him after his opinion on coach Higgins ordeal. On Neal Brown he is putting a program in the right direction, He hasn't had a good QB since he has been at WVU... or they haven't had success as a mountaineer... 8 wins is a must for this program.... an upset against State Penn is key to a good season. ( I am looking for a great game plan) We fans can say anything ( we do) and we want things , but we don't play the games... We will see how our kids come to play this year... Utah kicked our tales the last time we squared off so I do blame there lack of respect of the Mountaineers... WE DESERVE IT... Lets Go EARS!!!

Things not mentioned: Milum is one best LTs in the country and Lathan will be one of the top LBs in the B12. 6 WRs will make impacts, they are Swiss Army knife unit.

WVU opens its season by hosting the Penn State Nittany Lions. A couple years ago, I watched the Rose Bowl when Penn State defeated Utah 35-21. That game was tight, but everything changed in the middle of the 3rd quarter when Utah QB Rising was sacked and did not get up. Penn State was able to surge in the final quarter and earn the W. What I remember most, however, was a sea of Red all over the Rose Bowl as Utes' fans came out impressively to support their PAC Champs.

Just wanted to continue on Latham returning to the defense! He was a game changer on defense. WVU would not have lost to Houston or Okst if he had been in the lineup! He was the one that would take away the other teams game plan along with their best player! Go watch him! And they say he is good to go this fall. If he is truly back 100% . Penn State is toast

some really good insights and didn't realize how much Utah and WVU have in common. Would have been a great regular season matchup. BTW, I've seen a few of Couz's videos and he also has some great youtube content.

That never helped Texas. They got 4 and 5 star recruits every year. WVU dominated Texas most of the time they were in the Big 12.

If Brown doesn’t get to a bowl this year he should be gone. I’m sorry but I still don’t trust his climb. He had an easy schedule last year. This year if he doesn’t win 7+ games he needs to finally pack his bags.

Seems like every year a team picked at or toward the bottom of the Big-12 ends up suprising everyone.

NO way will Kyle Altuner play this year. He wasnt an early enrollee, and too much depth that Moore has built. I know he has a high ceiling, but Moore has built to much depth for him to be an impact player as a freshman, unless we get hit hard by the injury bug I dont see it happening. Not sure why Couz mentioned him. I would go with DayDay Farmer, Zae Jennings, Obinaa Onwuka, or even Robinson or Collins at WR...

The LB corp looks to be much better than last year.

Don't think you mentioned Bradley at Spur. His trajectory at the end of last season was great, and he looks to be a force this year.

Greene has worked hard and been brought along carefully. The reasons for the trouble on short/intermediate passes have been determined and addressed. Improvement in that area was clear in the Spring game. It's reasonable to expect him to continue what he did well last year while improving on his shortcomings. Actually, he's also worked to refine what he did well.

Welcome to the league. I have zero remorse for the ACC, they're the ones that started this chaos in college football when they started raiding the Big East. Love the Utah coach, he is a proven winner, but his loyalty to Utah is amazing. Top 10 coach imo
