Или, на худой конец, если невтерпёж, выбрать самый ненастный, холодный осенний или зимний день и посетить музей - для наслаждения вволю.

Modern architecture is abominable: the architectural and design filling of the 20th century in ancient walls is like a saddle for a cow. And the paintings do not deserve to hang in such impersonal, endless, concrete passages; they should hang in an appropriate artistic & authentic environ. The design of the museum is completely tasteless, and these whirring escalators.🙄🙄🧐☹

Many yrs ago in the early 50’s when steam was king instead of diesel, I took the train from Maryland to this great station. My GrandDad would meet us in the station for a quick ride out to his Clarion Ave house. But, the most fantastic part of the trip was the slow creep…not more than 5-10 mph crossing the Ohio River from Kentucky and then over the high trestle line as the steam driven B&O pulled into the station. I can still see the conductor’s smile as he waved good bye to us. I’ve been crazed about trains ever since, and that was nearly 70 yrs ago. The Cardinal is my choice of line into Chicago. Adding another arrival perhaps at an earlier time on the two other days of the week would be advisable, along with the current 3 day a week schedule east and west. This would allow passengers to spend time during the day in the great Union Station that is the crown of the City.

18:39 If the target was the JO (Olympic games) then I must say they are very late. Why are they building these things at the last minute?? The tower is still in construction and yet the hotel company's objective is to host the many visitors coming for the Olympic games. If it's rushed then things could go terribly wrong, so I hope they will be able to complete everything in time and without compromising on quality😬😬
