So beautiful! I just love Japan, and hope to be back there soon.
まるで自分も旅をしているような気分になるとても良いビデオでした。 ぜひまた日本に来て、今度は中山道や日光街道なども旅してほしいです!
thanks for the video, i love it. ispired me.
Glad to hear it!
Where did you guys sleep?
Attaching wheels on to your bike box is the smartest thing I've ever seen. Will definitely use this trick for my trip!
This style of vloging sucks
Hii.. I’m wondering how you managed to bring the bike-box all the way to Kyoto while riding from Tokyo to Kyoto? Me and my friends are planning to bike-traveling in Japan and we are trying gathering as much info as possible. Thank you.
the vibe i got watching this was one of the most beautiful things ever! i just wished you'd showed us around more :v
you know chinese words?
Next time, please try to across The TOKAIDO or NAKASENDO.
Hi!
Wow. Did that cutting board with the wheels screwed on really hold up? If so, that's genius!
I love your way of storytelling
Is there a Strava route you can share of this? Great vid
Thanks! You can find an earlier sketch (the final segments differed slightly) of the route here: strava.app.link/QWwJ2PnFkGb
@@LE-LU Thanks!
Also…a logistical question: it looks like you ditched your bike boxes on arrival and picked up new ones at the end? Any tips on bike shops that have boxes to giveaway/sell in Kyoto? Many thanks
I love this video.
fabulous vid. I live in Japan and cycle often. You captured the essence.
I love this video! I'm wondering how you do the map animation? I really like this touch.
Thanks! We used felt.com for the base map illustration and then after effects to animate/illustrate the rest.
I Love it
This video is a vibe. So well done. Congrats on a great ride and a serene video.
'bikepacking' = 20 seconds of cycling in the video, bruh
Beautiful stuff! Anywhere I can find the route?
Thank you! Hi! You can find an earlier sketch (the final segments differed slightly) of the route here: strava.app.link/QWwJ2PnFkGb
What a wonderful trip👍💥 ありがとう😊
Wow, this video brought back wonderful memories of my trip to Japan! Can I ask you how did you make the maps? The moving trajectory and all the details.
Thanks! We first used felt.com for the base layer and animated the route/graphics in Adobe After Effects.
Video: so talented wow
I like your video..
Howdy, I know I'm very late in commenting on this video but I am planning a similar tour. I was wondering if you guys had a GPX or similar with your route available? I am planning to climb Mt Fuji and I have some specific roads in mind but it would be nice to see your route.

@@LE-LU Thank so much!
That is nuts!
nice😍
This was a truly amazing video. I found it while contemplating a bike tour in Japan and it was definitely inspiring. I found myself immersed in your experience.. Thank you!
Amazing video...
I'm having a great time exploring Japan. I want to enjoy Japan by bicycle. 🚲🚲
The first time, that there is not a boring talker in the film.I suggest placing some nice Piano instate of this wired new age music in your film, and we have a very first class film about a wonderful bicycle ride journey.
Japan always tells you something. Japan might be your second home.
It would be cool to know where you lodged every night... I would love to do the same route! Any tips on prearranging accommodation?
Hi! You can find some useful tips and info about that in an article about our trip here: bikepacking.com/plog/tokyo-to-kyoto-by-bike-video/
Im doing this route right now! Holy smokes, that first day up to Lake Yamanaka was insane. I was walking my bike uphill for hours hah.
どういたしまして!🇯🇵
Not the type of bikepacking I like, but I definitely appreciate the variety you're bringing to the community. Keep it up!
Golden boy 😊
Fantastic video, inspirational!
The edit is fantastic!! I want to take this journey for myself one day
new life goal
just wow, the view i wish i could witness that
Thank you for sharing us a lot of beautiful scenes in Japan. this autumn I will be riding. thanks!
Very very beautiful video, poetic, sensible, a poem in images! Thank you!
A nice Video! Where did you store the cartons for bicycle transport on air plane during your trip? I saw you packed the bicycles in Kyoto. Had you sent them from Tokyo to your destination in Kyoto?
Thanks! You can find some useful tips and info about that in an article about our trip here: bikepacking.com/plog/tokyo-to-kyoto-by-bike-video/
Great video bro!!
Did almost the same route by car just recently. It's so beautiful and I'm very jealous of you having gone through it without rushing! For anyone wanting to replicate this, I'd recommend having a day break in an onsen and visiting Koyasan in addition to this route.
Well done. Very Zen with comment free.
Прекрасно! Просто мечта!
