Fun is subjective, so I can't tell you what's fun to play. Arcane does most of its damage in its cooldown windows every 45ish seconds, while fire is an uptime spec. If you mess up your rotation during your cooldowns as arcane, you'll do no damage. If you mess up your uptime as fire, your damage will be greatly reduced. Try them both out and figure out what you like more. Both are pretty similar in M+ where stuff tends to die too fast in lower keys, so you tend to do less overall outside of bosses because of specs like havoc, outlaw, bm, etc. Arcane has been the go-to pick for raid progression for the past few seasons because fire had some tuning issues, but both are definitely playable. Mage definitely has a bit of a learning curve. I'd guess fire is probably easier to pick up for a new player, though.

True. I basically stopped using it after Inescapable Torment was dropped from the talents, but looking at logs, it would add another 2m DPS easily.

I have noticed some more frame drops recently but haven't pinpointed it to VE specifically. Will keep an eye out.

Arcane mage probably wins if the tank pulls around their CDs. But shadow is much easier to play in M+ than arcane. Not sure about warlock after the changes to their other specs. They almost always get my PI so they are normally even or higher than me.

It's an issue with OBS and recording in HDR. I have a change in mind that may fix it, will need to see in the next recording.

I believe that's just DBM. Make sure you have the dungeon plugin installed/enabled.

@@apemanxxl5661 In keys where stuff is dying too fast, you will not have great damage with most common builds. Especially in low Tyrannical keys.

Packs dying too quickly is usually more of a low key level issue, I think. Our ramp up time isn't too bad, especially with the hailstorm build. Don't get me wrong, there are some packs that I hold CDs because they will die too fast, but I don't think it's usually a very frequent issue. You should be using elemental blast on 1-2 targets and chain lightning on 3+ targets. I have a bad habbit of using elemental blast up to three targets, but I've been told it's a DPS loss. The only reason I can think to use elemental blast in AoE is to kill a priority target faster.

@@Critmaw Thanks for the quick response, I’ve been doing around +10s with my mate who’s a windwalker and he just seems to demolish everything before I do much. I definitely can improve a lot with managing cds and stacks though, thanks for the advice.

Definitely doesn't feel as tanky as druids, but I can't really push high keys at the moment to have an informed opinion on it. That being said, there are enhancement shamans pushing 20-22 keys. You can look up ElbroTTV on twitch to see him in action and make a better informed decision.

​@@sathori_6268 Thanks! I would love to play Elemental Shaman, but it doesn't feel too great right now. It feels like I have to commit to either strong AoE or strong single target. On the other hand, the enhance tree lets you pick up great AoE and great single target. That being said, if they buff the spec, I would definitely try it out again.
