God's Precious Gift (a clip from Constantine)
มุมมอง 1K10 ปีที่แล้ว
This is from the movie Constantine. Forget the set up, forget the scene. The dialogue is what I want you to see. The Gabriel(an Angel) is jealous of mankind. He feels something is not fair. Something that man has, the Angels don't. So few seconds in, when Gabriel starts with, "you're given this precious gift...". Closed caption is on, so you can read it. An excellent point about the precious gi...

Just let you know 5 years pass and your video is still helping people like me. Without your video I was screwed so thank you for your time to help other like me, it is very appreciated. But I didn't finish yet but close, I'm stuck with the last little square self locking pin attach to the transmission arm under the shifter box. I try to get the name of that square self locking pin but google doesn't help me with all the names I gave to that square pin. It show me results of anything else but not that square pin name. I cannot do it by myself never remove any pin like this one and it is restricted space to work when the shifter is still attach to the arm. But anyway thank you again for your video, it is the most complete from A to Z Great job.
Thank you for your feedback. I don't enjoy problems, but I do enjoy solving them like a puzzle. Glad the video was a Blessing. Hope that linkage works out well for you. Enjoy the ML!
@@ps11514 Yeap I did finish quickly yesterday, the linkage attach to the transmission arm was just rusted hard to detach but it when fine. Replacing all together with the used shifter bought from ebay (2 weeks waiting for this shifter without using my car was long. But now It work well. A good 3 hours of easy mechanic using your DIY helpful video. Thank you for your fast respond
I have the same problem with mine,so am I replacing the whole gear shifter, or can i just buy the gear selector switch?
Thanks for the detailed video! I have water damage to mine (2001 e320 W210) and I want to replace it with a used one. Will the used one need programming to function? Or just plug and play? Thanks!!
How much is the same gear selector
Hell yeah. Thank you so much. Yours was the first and only vid I watched.
Had the same exact issue, great instructions
❤thank you for the great tutorial! I followed your instructions and was able to fix my mercedes perfectly. I'm a graphic designer, not even a little bit mechanically inclined, but you made it easy!!!!
I did it! Thanks.
Thank you so much!!! picked up the part at a junkyard for 30$ and installed it. Works great!!!
Hi how long did the completed job take?
Thanks for the video, great stuff!
Aqa
do you think you should have showed some video of how to disconnect it from the steering column
To move the shifter from P to D stick a flathead screwdriver down in the shifter. You won't have to start anything. Works like a charm!
did the shifter replacement solved the problems
Geek parts is nice.
Anyone looking for a ML SUV that looks brand new inside only needs two rear springs, a starter, gasket cover, one spark plug, horn and two tires pick it up in CT for $600

Did it show you any errors codes? I have p0705 code on mine and already rebuilt transmission, dealer doesn't known what they are doing and charged me for a fuse box and so far didn't fix my problem it is still goes in limp mode after cople minutes of driving or right a way, i am about to change the shifter or transmission control module i am not sure with which one to start, can you please tell me what was your car symptoms before you changed the shifter?thanks!
I know this is at least a year old but I'm leaving this comment for those who come along after me. Okay, if your trans is in limp mode, you can do any "repairs" you want up to and including replace the trans but it will still always go back in limp mode until you clear the codes. In fact, the first thing you should do is a diagnostic scan and after making a note of the codes, clear them and drive for awhile. It will go into limp mode when your battery is getting old, when it's low on charge, or when the battery goes dead. It's very possible that when you clear the codes the trans will operate just fine. Don't jump to worst case scenarios and catastrophic failures. Don't fire the parts cannon. Don't ask several people and the internet what the issue is. GET YOU A SCANNER! ALWAYS ALWAYS do a DIAGNOSTIC SCAN FIRST! If you do a repair such as shifter replacement, conductor plate etc you will have to erase the codes or it will go back in limp mode even if your D is back on the panel and all seems good.
.
Did it shift correctly after this?
I guess I have the same symptoms but later the gear shifter locked in park
