Do you use general anesthesia for deep plane face lift?

When you mentioned average longevity will you basically look the same at your like 6-12 month post op that you would at year 8 basically? You mentioned minimal aging changes, but is that kind of like difference between 30 and 40 essentially? But like you would still have a youthful face shape at 8 ish years correct? I take this as not looking exactly like how you did in the post op pictures? Would there be anyway to to prolong facelift results, i know fillers and stuff can mask early aging changes and give the illusion of lifting and youthful shape in the early changes.

I'm a 67 year old fit and healthy male. I had a lower facelift and necklift on April 11th, 2024. I'm in my 4th week post op. I wish my surgeon would have spent more time with me before my surgery, but he always seemed rushed, always leaving me with unanswered questions. I know my surgeon is an excellent surgeon, but I don't think that I spent 20 minutes with him, total, with all of my combined visits. My consultation with him probably wasn't even 5 minutes long. My surgeon never advised about post-op depression. He said that I'd be driving in 2 weeks and fully recovered and back to weight lifting in 6 weeks. I'm in my 4th week now and I still can't move my head, so I cannot drive. I do not believe that I'll be fully recovered at 6 weeks. Had I had more time with my surgeon to have my questions answered, I wouldn't be questioning if I should have had this surgery, or not. No one warned me about getting depressed, but within my 1st week post-op, I certainly did get depressed. It wasn't because I looked in the mirror either. You say to keep busy, but my surgeon told me to lay around like a couch potato and do absolutely nothing for weeks. I'm very active and being a couch when I had a lot of bottled up energy really took its toll on my mental state. I'm much better now, mentally, but I'm still swollen and numb, and my neck is still so stiff that I can hardly even move it at all. Your video is very informative. I wish that I would have seen it before my surgery, so I would have been warned about post-op depression.

The test works for the front view, but what about the neck laxity? I had a beautiful, crisp profile for the first five weeks, then the under chin laxity came back once the swelling was gone.

I wish I would have watched this before I just got my facelift and I’ve been crying since day one

A year later and I still have numbness and tightness behind my ears,do depressing I don’t think I will every not feel this tightness. Nothing from surgeon…I am on my own and getting depressed from feeling this facelift a year later every moment of everyday. I look great, but don’t feel great.

Guys I kid you not! I've tried so many of the different face-lift tapes and none of them worked for me so I was online looking at some surgical tape and I seen on the reviews that someone said they use it for face lift! AND I KID YOU NOT!!!! It works yall! It's sweat and water proof! It's clear tape! And very flexible! I had it on all day and it still hasn't budged! I should have been tried this! It's the surgical tape they use to bandage things but I promise you! You cannot tell the difference! And I also used the band that came with the other face-lift tapes and just poked a hole through this tape with the silver clip of the band....THIS TAPE DOES NOT MOVE YALL AT ALL ! AND! It holds my face (eyes) up soooo tight!!! It seems so far as if I'm gonna have to peel it off myself when I'm ready to change it!

Wouldn't vertical lifting make more sense as this is the trajectory of aging skin.

Of course a doctor gonna say it doesn’t work, otherwise people would stop paying them a lot of money for surgeries because there’s a cheaper option 😅

I used to have a beautiful smile- BEFORE now post op after my deep plane lower facelift I cannot smile only a small stib and my cheeks look faik and stretched when I try to force a smile 😢 my unfilled lips (=now have duck mouth resemblance ) so I definitely have the blues and deep regrets as I see other patients smile effortlessly on day 2 and two 😭😭 cry 24/7 /// what is wrong?

What about if you have bad perioral mounds due to weak receding chin . Baby 👶 but I am 32 want to bring that mound up to not show... but would a Smas help that ? No neck issues... no wrinkles... but the mounds are bag 😅

You can keep your skin fairly good if you are diligent about your skincare. But I haven't met any alcoholics who cleanse, moisturize, apply anti wrinkle cream, etc. while drinking heavily… I did so nobody knew I had a drinking problem. I even took vitamins so my skin was better than the average people.

Do you do facelifts on men

Many doc and plastic surgeons like to say it doesn’t work so people go spend more money getting treatments done. My skin, hair and nails have become stronger and thicker. I notice the difference after about a month of taking them

I haven't seen any results with my skin, hair and Nails . However it done wonders to my knee pain ❤

As a man I actually wanted my eyebrows to drop and be closer to my eyes to get that hunter eyes look which is why I got upper eyelid filler and Botox on the forehead to LOWER my eyebrows. I’m on day 3 and results are already amazing. So happy I did 👌🏻

OK that's for aging. But does it actually reduce inflammation? Cause every time I drink some (I mostly noticed that after drinking some home made medicine with alcohol in very small quantities) that my face always seemed to be less red and my acne marks and other stuff on my face was less noticeable and that there were no new pimples coming and the few that were there, I felt less and also looked to have gotten better. After that I started looking for the connection and whenever I drink small quantities of alcohol over the day, my skin always looks better the nect day than if I don't.

This is so helpful. I am 10 days out from deep plane neck and lower face lift. Temporal brow lift and facial fat grafting. I was getting really concerned that one eye has become swollen again after the swelling seemed to be going. I think it is because I woke up lying flat this morning. I found this video very reassuring

What about bone broth

I got an early facelift, and there were definitely pros and cons. I don't think I would have made the same choice if i could go back. I went to a board certified surgeon who specializes in facelifts and paid a lot. Pros- tiny early jowls are better, cheeks are higher (but one side is now a little higher than the other whch i hate), over all i do think (hope) i will age better. Cons- one side seemed to be pulled a little tighter, making that cheekbone more prominent & higher, and the other side jowl area a little looser. Both sides look pretty good, but together they don't. I still have neo-fold lines on both sides. Before the surgery they looked the same. I thought they would go away because that's a big reason i got the surgery. My ears tragus area on both ears look kinda messed up. The way one ear was sewn on the back has a little loop thing that's weird. The scars will take a long time to fade. The surgery recovery was worse than i thought it would be. Now I'm afraid of another surgery when my face will really need it in the future.

Botox lifted my brows. My forehead went from five fingers to 3.5 fingers!!! I have hooded eyes and I’m VERY expressive when I talk! My new Botox lady keeps giving me hooded eyes!!!! I’ve been begging her to not do that! What do I do?

Very grateful for the medical community on youtube for making clips like this one. I am 9 days out from a lower facelift and a lower blepharoplasty. Being patient while being a patient is hard for most of us. And while I agree with most of this advice, it is important for those of us who have had work done around our eyes not to overtax them by trying to keep busy. Careful walking around the house, planned breaks for ice packing and listening to podcasts are more important right now than trying to stay caught up with the latest. Of course, I am on TH-cam at this moment! Will continue to wear the headwrap mostly 24/7 for another four days, then on during the day and off at night, which I'm looking forward to! I've seen a lot of stupid "advice" out there about sleeping any which way you please, working out at the end of week 2 and eating hamburgers on day 3. Do not listen to these ridiculous blowhards. They are exaggerating at best, lying at worst and do not understand what it means to recuperate. Just because you're not sick doesn't mean trauma to the body hasn't occurred, it has. Rest and Recover. Thanks, again, Doctor!
