At 1:04, there is a reference to a "political candidate who washed out of an important TV showing wearing a gray suit ...". That was Richard Nixon, in his first TV debate against JFK in 1960. On the black and white telecast (the ABC TV network did not yet have color facilities), Nixon's bland suit caused him to blend into the background, while JFK's dark blue suit allowed him to stand out. Although Nixon performed well (indeed, people who heard the debate on radio thought Nixon "won" it) and corrected the issue with the suit in the ensuing two debates, the visual appearance (or, "optics", as it would be called later) made for a less than stellar first impression, and contributed to Nixon's narrow loss.

I suppose everyone knows this by now, but George Nader was Rock Hudson's boyfriend in the 1950s.

Classic sci-fi TV series lasted one season, 1960-61, starring George Nader as Dr. Glenn Barton. Produced by the same crew as MEN INTO SPACE, for ZIV-TV Productions. This series was based on an original SCIENCE FICTION THEATRE TV episode from 1957, titled "Three Minute Mile" with Martin Milner, and they remade that episode as the pilot film for this series.

Nice that this kept the Revue closing logo which has the same back round that the color version. it had the b/w version on episodes 1, 9, and 11 that I saw so far.

When watching this series in high school I thought it was the best show on television. Thank you.

Well, now I know why Glenn Corbett was (almost) always so quiet and mumbly in all his roles. His only other setting seems to be SCREAMING HYSTERIA, the likes of which I have never seen on any other television show.

Trying to like this series but could they be any more annoying? I guess it's the writing and the severe over-acting. Love old series but man this one is hard to take.

Fantastic series with Lloyd Bridges & written by Rod Serling. Loved Lloyd Bridges in Sea Hunt - I was a little kid in a small town in Florida. Didn’t know about this western but saw plenty of great ones The Texan, The Tall Man, etc. of course Gunsmoke & Have Gun Will Travel, Rifleman. This series would have been a favorite.
