@@calamitycoasters2591 I have! Compound is a great maze and I think it’s my #1 maze that Alton has ever done but if I’m rating it on scariness alone, I would place it just above Altonville Mine Tours 🎃
@@themeparklover88 i got an absolutely incredible runthrough the other day it was just me and 2 other people in the maze and the actors were dragging me around, locking me in rooms, chasing me ect was incredibly intense when i did it but that was defeniately better than the average experience espically since the other 2 people took the other route so i was alone throughout the experience

I loved this video, just subscribed to your channel. I've only done one scarefest last year, the mazes were the attic, the invitation and Alton ville mines. My favourite was the invitation, but I know not many would agree on that!

Brilliant video with great editing! I can also appreciate the creativity that went into this video idea, a very unique standout video within the theme park community! I am a big fan of Alton Towers and also worked there, but this is the first video in a long time in which I have learned a lot of new information about past years within the park. Keep up the good work!

That maze for the Smiler was top tier. It's such a shame they had to strip off so much of the backstory and theming later on...
Project 42 and sub species had nothing to do with nemesis?
@@Davidsteel702 They did! I believe sub-species was a spin-off of the Nemesis story with the Underworlders (which is the cult that summoned the nemesis creature) and mutations of humans caused by the creature. Project 42 was about the Phalanx’s experiment (P42) within their research facility! 🎢👻
@@themeparklover88 no it was due to an infection caused by rats (caused by an alien) that basically made the humans hostile and were banished to the sewers and you going though were there prey. I definitely prefer your story though
I worked Sub Species and can confirm both are linked to Nemesis.
The sanctuary was one of the best; it was in the conservatory and the ministry of joy were testing (pre-smiler) on people and as the maze went along they began to lose control. There was a video of the warden at the beginning and its not fully clear that he knew/agreed what the ministry of joy was about despite speaking to them via intercom. Carnival of screams was amazing. it was on the lawn and it was a gothic circus that pitched up in front of the house.

Between the years 2012 / 2014. Same years as the sanctuary Alton ran extreme night walks for 18+. Was the maze but the actors would be able to touch you . This was a great time

Sub terra and nemisis are 2 different sub terra is a drop ride opening 27th of may
Yup! Idk if it’s still going to be an abc tower like last time or if they’re making a new ride system, also I love the new red and black theme the ride is going for just like nemesis!
The Nemesis logo will probably be similar, if not the same, to how it is now as it is featured in the new Sub-Terra logo
Yeah, I wouldn’t see why they would change it because it looks the same on this logo like you said!
