Chancie, I am a true fan. Carrying all that pain, and using your creative gift to bring laughter to so many. Unfortunately, many comedians carry deep pain as well - comedy being the relief. Your life was ordained by your Creator, the Uncreated Creator. You are here because you are suppose to be here. Thank you for the path you have chosen that causes many of us to forget our own pain if only for a moment, as we find enjoyment in your comedy routine. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This story was beautiful and sad for me to hear at the same time. Being adopted into a dysfunctional family and being led to believe that I was their biological child when my adoptive mother was waaayyy past being able to conceive. I put off seeking my biological family when I did find out I was adopted. Kind of didn’t want to deal with it for various reasons. At 66 finally connecting with them and the only word that comes to mind to describe them is nightmare. Not all adoption stories have a happy ending.

When I tell you this podcast just blew me away. How dare adoptive parents NOT tell their adopted children the truth. How selfish!! My parents both went to their graves without formally telling me and my siblings we were all adopted (from different families). We knew we were adopted because we talked about it amongst ourselves. Thank God the adoption law changed in the state of New York in 2019 (a closed adoption state) and I was able to obtain my original pre-adoption birth certificate. From there, I was able to find my biological mom in September 2023 and reunite in March 2024!! God is so amazing!
