thank you for explaining the difference between new bronze bowls and antique. It was especially eye opening what you shared about how the metal molecules are still agitated, and moving from the heat and the working vs older metal is more settled, I never would have thought of that!

I would like to try and polish off the paint on my singing bowls. It feels like a rougher surface, which makes the mallet not glide very smoothly. It gives the sound a weird tone, like static on a radio, for lack of a better word. I have not had that problem with smooth bowls, which don't have any painted designs on them. Have you encountered this issue? I am assuming that mine are cheaper bowls, probably meant for tourists. I found them thrifting. Still I believe they could produce nice enough sounds.

Years ago I bought from you an antique bowl, but very small, from you. The protruding rim lip is like the one in this video, with several small cracks. I bought five or six small antique bowls, and one mid size. Beautiful bowls, never lost their charm for me.

Watch what sound does to physical matter. Water will defy gravity with specific frequencies and change shapes, so will fire, so will dirt. The god particle has already been found. We have devolved from using real knowledge, to relying on intelligence. Lots of famous philosophers had similar bowls. Pretty cool antique.

I had a 7” flared bowl like the one in the middle- had a beautiful sound. Wish I hadn’t sold it but I knew it was meant for the couple that bought it. As much as I sometimes hate to let them go, I’m always happy for the person on the other end when they get that perfect bowl!
