The Home Music Creator channel helps mere mortal amateur musicians create music.
So many music TH-cam channels seem to think you have unlimited money, space, time and resources to put into your music making.
At Home Music Creator, we realize you are busy and you have a (very) limited budget.
And that you don't have a fancy dedicated studio with a vocal booth, vintage tube amps and sound treatment.
We show you how to make music with what you have, even if that is just a laptop and an audio interface.
We concentrate on what you can do with nothing but a limited budget, limited space and the burning desire to make great music!
Welcome Home Music Creator!

I turned my laptop into a guitar amp: here's how...
Brother, I need the Amplitube 5 software, an interface, and a guitar. That's all?
Cool video man, nice backdrop too!! I notice your Q control works opposite to most I’ve used, ie, yours at 0.2 is narrow & at 6 it’s wide but normally Q control would be 0.2 the widest go upwards, 18 being narrower bandwidth. Just putting this note here for anyone that might be confused by this on your EQ. Hope you’re well
The high level overview I needed. Thanks.
So you record your guitars completely dry no amp sims or effects right? Then run the completely dry take into the mixer that has the amp sim as an active effect
Reaper has the balance right at sensible price sonar by bandlab was good until they pulled there free daw all People want is certainty I think there is a movement back to anologue tape because of this reason
I'm struggling to convince myself and I fail. My Marshalls just can't be beaten
In the device, my audio interphase isn't coming up
Guitarix is a free open source amp sim that also runs in Linux, if you hate Windows and Mac. You can get yourself going with nothing more than a rocksmith cable and Guitarix.
🫡
I have Cubase challenges! It seems it is a struggle to record a band rapidly and get fast headphone mixes for the talent. Is Reaper more intuitive?
"intuitive" is subjective so it doesn't really make sense asking that... Btw to me Reaper is intuitive🤷🏻
I understand! I would need to work on Reaper to make my own decision. Thank you!
hey there, maybe you can help me, I use amplitube 5, are you aware of any in built effect I can use to capture a very small slice of a chord and have it play repeatedly so i can noodle over it? I know I can use the looper but thats far more time than I need, I want a very small slice of an already played chord so it ends up sounding like a synth chord drone. Hope that made sense! something like the gamechanger plus pedal
I use both a PC and a Mac. The Mac has low-latency plug & play drivers built-in, which work with most recent interfaces. Some may require a separate download. Depends on the interface.
Reaper is not only the most fair and reasonably priced DAW, it is objectively the best DAW available today. No question. Of course there's a lot to be said for using the tools you are comfortable with and have already invested in to get the job done, no arguments there, but if you want the most flexible, tightly coded, stable, feature-rich, customizable, cutting edge, regularly updated DAW, coded by a small, focused company with a philosophy that focuses on amazing code and not amazing profit... then look no further. There, I said it :D
unreal! thanks so much this is fantastic!!
I had latency issues when I was trying to listen through my PC. I didn't realize the amp sim could be routed through the interface headphone output with zero lag 🤓
I don't have an "Asio" driver...it's just the WASAPI ones...I only use a wireless headset btw
Thanks ! !
Thank you man/ Finally get workable sound
How do I separate the guitar and mic audio? I have a teyun q12
Looking forward to it, thanks
This was so reassuring and encouraging. Thank you!
thank you
What speakers do you use?
OMGOODNESS THANKYOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so ASIO magically installs on its own does it ..!
Hi . Is there a difference between a guitar interface and an audio interface . Thanks
theres no
@@twistedfate6174 don’t think I got the full reply 🐯
There is no difference. The function of an interface like this is to convert your analog guitar signal into a digital signal which is then used by the pc.
@@DuNkLeRVoGeL thanks for that
Thank you <3
Exactly what I was looking for, I am new to guitar and I am totally lost by all these choices. A preset with premium effects would also be amazing if at all possible. Thanks a lot for the video.
but do i have to buy every single effect??? what!!?? how can i use more than one is there a subscription or something?
Shalom. ;3
you do not use headphones so what speker do you use please
can i do this without an audio interface card?
i cant select asio
Great video! Good information
I did all that but when I pick presets or anything the sound doesn't change, like as if they're not even applied. What am I doing wrong?
You know how to solve this?
OMG, it's 2024 and you have to jump through 25 hoops to install and use this software. 20 years ago Line 6 made a fun, all in one box that you plugged in your pc, then your guitar and off you went.
Brilliant - Thanks will give it a go
Matey Music is Massive and People used to Sing doing everything it is primal and good for you "The Industry" is nonsense "Elvis wanted to be a Gospel Singer" It is art your art this is a good channel
Fantastic! Thanks! 🎸😃
My version has most options locked...do you have a paid version?
I've downloaded and set everything up using AmpliTube 5 and it's not free! It's 200 Euros to unlock the effects you show in the video...for example in the video there are 11 options options for distortion but on mine there is only 1. There is a tab to filter out all the paid ones which is appreciated though.
Muy útil, se agradece
Does Guitar rig have more than just the 2 amp types? I have an Amplitube FREE version, not 5 CS. It limits me to may 4 different selectable amp types and few pedals.
Thank you for this video!
And how better with a Beta 58A for VoiceOver duties?...
How many db needs your preamp to stand up the Shure?...
Bro ubtalk way to michbjist explain it already damn
The question I always ask myself is would I have been able to write this 2-3 years ago. If the answer is no then I'm on a just fine path. Music is a journey, there is no beginning, there will be no end. Just enjoy it while you can.
I agree with you about Reaper. I too bought a licence after only a few days of using it. 😎😎🎵🎵
Great video, subscribed.
Can this setup be used for a live gig?
yes
Thanks Paul.
