Alaskan Smokehouse. Look inside Life Below Zero Roach family smokehouse
We use a smokehouse on the Innoko River for many different things. Including smoking and drying salmon and moose meat. This is definitely Sonta favorite building on our property. We always look forward to getting the smoke house full of native foods from the land.

This is a good overview of how we make drymeat or jerky. Every year we usually cut up a couple quarters of moose to turn into Jerky. This process turns a couple hundred pounds of meat into 40-50 lbs of high-quality snack food. As others have said, Clay mentioned your new TH-cam and since I love watching your entire family on Life Below Zero (seriously... a beautiful and loving family y'all have!) I had to come subscribe to your new channel. Very interesting video, its something I always thought of doing and you made it very easy to understand all the steps. Of course I've seen other videos on the subject, but they tend to leave little details out that make a person unsure if they're doing it correctly; and not making a product that will make the family end up with food poisoning. So thanks! Looking forward to watching more content with your family. You and your wife are wonderful parents and I love watching your children learn as they grow older.

Thank you for the video. Feedback? For notes on screen, if you can find a font with an outline. Black text with white outline, or white text with black, for example The outline will help the text stand out for the audience.
Ya sorry about that… it looked ok ish in the editing software horrible on TH-cam will use brighter color in future videos
@@Chevieroach907 no worries here. Just something I remember from editing video, and prepping slideshows for an audience. An outline font almost always works because the outline creates the contrast between the text and anything behind it. A text box or bubble also works but blocks more space. Anyway. Great Video.

My first go at making jerky was deer heart. It turned out really good but there is so little there and I prefer it prepared just like a steak rather than jerky it’s hardly worth the effort unless it’s just for fun. Something like this is a lot more practical IMO

You're gonna change the entire landscape of the Homesteading/Hunting culture on here and one of the reasons for that is that there aren't enough Moose Hunters and Caribou hunters on here, so your channel is gonna do really well because you're an expert on those animals. You should make yourself a, "TikTok", page, and an, "Instagram", page, so that you can get out there in hunting cyberspace; it'll make it easier for everyone in the hunting community to meet you and interact with you. TH-cam is good, but those social media platforms have a lot of people on them who are gonna want to watch your content on those platforms and some of them don't use TH-cam that often, or at all.
